The outgoing governor of Anambra State Chief Willie Obiano abandoned other projects such as roads and other aspects just to complete Anambra international cargo airport.
Honorable Timothy Ifediora Anambra house of assembly, member representing Njikoka I constituency addressed journalist yesterday after the house of assembly plenary.
He commend Obiano for the thought to give Ndi Anambra an airport but frowned at the effects of the airport project holding other sector’s of the economy and the State to ransom.
He expressed sadness that Anambra road is in bad shape.
“We have an airport but we don’t have road to that airport”
He also advised the incoming governor Charles Soludo not to follow the way of the out going governor, which is, holding unto one project at the expense of other’s.
He opined that Obiano started well, especially in the aspect of security but he ended poorly.
He stressed that if Obiano’s government ended in his first tenure he could have scored him 80 percent.
But he somehow describe the last tenure as disaster because most sector’s suffered in the quest of Obiano’s legacy project.
He also condemned the magnitude of the international conference center.
He opined that to save some money for other sector’s, it is better to build 5,000 seaters auditorium instead of the 10,000 seaters that gulp close to 10 billion naira.
He argued that he refused to join the bandwagons because he believes in telling the reality.
He also said that his constituents feels abandoned by the Obiano led administration.
