.. Advocates for PPP with Anambra State Govt.
The newly reelected President General of St Charles Special Science School Old Boys Association (SCSSOBA) World wide, Engr Solomy Ochokwu has urged fellow alumni to consider expediting establishment of Scssoba Special Science School, Private Public Partnership ( PPP) with Anambra state government as a major priority to be accomplished for year 2026.
Speaking shortly after his re-election at the SCSSOBA World wide 3rd National Convention which held at Hilton Leisure Hotel, Awka, Ochokwu encouraged fellow alumni popularly called ‘Scobites’ to contribute towards the private school establishment within 360 days saying that the impact will not only benefit members but also benefit the wider community.
“I implore all our members to help us complete the projects we started in my first tenure which is the building of a private school here in Awka named SCSSOBA Special Science Private School. We have already bought over 200 plots of land worth over 120 million naira for the project.
“Apart from the School project, there are other partnership businesses which we had already floated, we should continue building on them to expand, having love for one another, improving the welfare package of members.
“I therefore encourage each of us to reach out beyond the walls of this convention. Seek collaborations, share your talents, and extend a hand to fellow alumni. By doing so, we will not only enhance our own lives but also contribute to the collective success of our community,” Ochokwu said.
Earlier during the election which was described as credible, transparent, free and fair the Electoral Committee Chairman, Dr. Elijah Onwudiwe declared
Engr Solomy Ochokwu winner of the Presidential election having polled 29 votes to defeat Williams Obinna Ukata who got 2 votes.

the newly elected SCSSOBA World wide executives include: President General – Solomy Ochokwu, Vice president 1 – Anthony Udeh, Vice President 2 – Kenneth Ekwedigwe, Secretary – Chukwudi Njelita, Assist Secretary – Augustine Dike, Treasurer – Victor Nwakonobi, Financial Sec- Michael Osita, Public Relations Officer- Ifeanyi Emele, Welfare Officer- Arinze Izuegbunam, Director of Social – Williams Ukata, Provost- Goodness Chinemerem, Internal Auditor – Desmond Nwangwu.
Inaugurating the exco members Dr Onwudiwe tasked them to carry out their statutory duties without fear or favor urging them to take their responsibilities seriously to enable them take the association to enviable heights.
However, in his acceptance speech Solomy Ochokwu expressed gratitude that the members of the alumni found him worthy to continue piloting the affairs of the association.
“I am elated to be reelected. I will not take it for granted. Let us embrace the spirit of solidarity that has brought us this far. Together, we can build an even brighter future for our alumni association, one marked by shared success, growth, and lasting connections. Thank you for being here today, and for your continued commitment to our community. Let’s move forward together in solidarity
So we could flourish forever,” Ochokwu said.
Highlights of the convention include rendering of financial account, motions for constitutional amendments on areas bothering on membership entitlements and benefits, Award presentation to deserving members.
