A critical stakeholder of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Primus Odili, has urged all eligible citizens – particularly those in the Anambra North Senatorial District to step forward and secure their permanent voter’s card (PVC) in the ongoing national Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the CVR which began on January 5th, 2026, will end on April 17th, 2026.
In a statement released by his media office and made available to newsmen, Odili called on APGA members to update their membership registration which has gone digital now to avoid being disenfranchised.
While commending the efforts of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state, the Anambra North Senatorial hopeful, highlighted the significance of empowering 4,423 new individuals across the state’s 21 Local Government Areas, granting them the fundamental right to vote in the 2027 general elections and beyond.
“The INEC team in Anambra is performing commendably. We recognize that a similar exercise just six months ago successfully added 168,000 voters to our register. We applaud this continued service to our democracy.”
On the need to shift to mobilization, Chief Odili issued a direct appeal to a key demographic:
“I am specifically calling on every young adult who has come of voting age since the last election. Your participation is not just a right; it is a civic duty. By registering and voting, we demonstrate forward-thinking citizenship and directly shape the progressive future of our communities and our country.”
To amplify this message, Odili called upon all community stakeholders in Anambra North including youth and women leaders, ward chairmen, Presidents-General, councillors, Local Government Area chairmen, and clergy members to actively educate and encourage their constituents about the enduring benefits of the CVR.
In his concluding remarks, Chief Odili outlined a practical incentive beyond the ballot box.
“Your voter’s card is more than an electoral tool, it serves as a valid and widely recognized form of identification for official transactions, making it an indispensable document for every Nigerian citizen.
“For every unregistered eligible voter in Anambra, the path to civic participation and official identification begins at the nearest INEC registration center before April 17th.” ,” he explained.
Chief Odili however called on APGA members to renew their membership with the new digital process while calling on new members to take advantage of the opportunity and become APGA members.
