Ohaneze chieftain in Kaduna state regains freedom from bandits

Angel Network News earlier reported that Shehu Sani disclosed that a chieftain of Ohanaeze in Kaduna state, Eze Fred Awagu, Odum Igbo 1, was one of those abducted by bandits.

“Eze Fred Awagu Odum Igbo 1 an Ohaneze chieftain in Kaduna state is one of the several persons kidnapped at Anguwan Gimbiya in the Outskirts of Kaduna city.

“The bandits operated freely for hours.

The gunmen were said to have killed at least two residents.

It was gathered that the incident which occured on Friday morning 3rd of December 2021, also led to the abduction of about 50 persons in the community.

The assailants were said to have invaded the community early hours of Friday with sophisticated weapons and shooting sporadically, leading to the death of the two people.

The news of his release was revealed to Angel Network News by a close family member. He was released in good condition and the family thanked Ohanaeze and well wishers who help to make sure the Ohanaeze chieftain was released. Thanks be to God.
