Anambra Commissioner for Local Government, Community Affairs and Chieftaincy Matters, Mr. Tonycollins Nwabunwanne has congratulated Hon.
Simon-Ikechukwu Orakwe and his executives on their victory at the January 31 President General election of Amanuke
Town Union.
Nwabunwanne also commended ndi Amanuke Community in Awka North Local Government Area, for coming out em mass, describing the election as free and fair.

Orakwe contested against Dr. Odogwu Emeka Odogwu, Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council.
“I hereby certify that the underlisted elected officers are the bonafide executive members recognised by Anambra State Government.
“The recognition takes effect from Jan. 31, 2026,” Nwabunwanne said
The Commissioner listed other elected officers to include Godwin Nwandibe, Deputy President General; Okechukwu Agbata as Secretary General.
Others were: Christopher Nwoye – Assistant Secretary General, Francis Alagbuna – Treasurer and Uchechukwu Nnamezie as Financial Secretary.
“Obinna Nwankwo – Social Welfare Officer; Hyacinth Okafor – Public Relation Officer; Charles Nnanwube, Provost I and Chigozie Ekulide, Provost II.
Nwabunwanne said the tenure of the executive team was three years and would run from Jan. 31, 2026 Jan. 31, 2029.
