The Coalition of Youth Organizations of Orumba North Local Government Area has formally purchased the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Chairmanship Nomination Form for the Mayor Barr. Casmir Chinonso Nwafor (Rtd), in a strong show of support for his reelection.
The purchase followed a well-attended meeting of youth organizations drawn from across the Local Government Area, held at Eziakpu Hall, Umuagu, Ufuma, where the youths unanimously resolved to take a collective and symbolic step in affirmation of continuity in leadership.
Speaking on behalf of the coalition, youth leaders stated that the decision was entirely youth-driven and based on a comprehensive appraisal of governance in Orumba North under the current administration.
They emphasized that the funds used to purchase the nomination form were contributed solely by the youths themselves, without sponsorship or inducement from any political office holder.
According to the coalition, the action reflects the confidence of the youth in the leadership style and performance of Mayor Nwafor, whom they described as tested, trusted, and dependable.
They noted that the Mayor has consistently operated an open-door administration, making himself accessible to youths, community leaders, students, and stakeholders across the Local Government Area.
The further highlighted the Mayor’s deliberate policy of youth inclusion in governance, noting that over 90 percent of his cabinet is made up of youths who are actively involved in administration, decision-making, and grassroots development. They described this approach as a practical demonstration of inclusive governance rather than political tokenism.
Under the Orumba North Solution Drive Agenda, the administration has recorded progress in inclusive governance, youth empowerment, peace and stability, transparency, and people-centered development. The coalition maintained that these gains should be consolidated rather than disrupted, stressing that the youths of Orumba North do not support trial and error in leadership.
The coalition also reaffirmed its total loyalty to APGA and expressed strong support for the Solution-driven leadership of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, noting that Mayor Nwafor’s leadership style reflects the Governor’s people-centered governance philosophy at the grassroots.
