Parabellum Records Signs First Artiste

A southeast based record label, Parabellum Records has signed its first artiste, Ogechukwu Obi Benson who goes by the stage name, Reekarh.

This epoch making event held at Cardinal Hotel, Awka recently and was witnessed by friends of the record label and Creatives alike.

Speaking to ANN in an exclusive interview, a co-owner of the label, Obumneme Osuchukwu disclosed that Parabellum Records was set up with the primary objective of being a voice for young musical talents from the south east part of Nigeria.

In his words, “Our vision at Parabellum is to become a leading force in the music industry, a voice from South East Nigeria recognized for our innovative approach to artist development and promotion, and our unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity.

“We aspire to be a home for boundary-pushing artists who are making a meaningful impact on the cultural landscape, and to provide them with the resources, support, and guidance they need to achieve their full potential.”

He went ahead to state that Parabellum Records is co-owned with a certain Gideon Ifunanya Anumnu who is passionate about discovering and nurturing exceptional musical talents.

According to Osuchukwu, “As a new record label, we aim to provide a platform for emerging artists to showcase their work to a wider audience.

“Our team is dedicated to building strong relationships with our artists and working collaboratively to create successful and memorable releases.”

ANN recalls that so far, the south east part of Nigeria is yet to have a formidable record label that can compete well with its counterparts in the southwest. Don Jazzy of Marvin Records, though of south east origin situated and operates his label from Lagos, the southwest part of Nigeria.
