The Anambra State Special Unit of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) has paid a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG), Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo, AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo.

the visit was aimed to formally welcome the AIG to the Zone and strengthen collaboration between the PCRC and the Nigeria Police Force.
The delegation, led by the Anambra PCRC Special Unit Coordinator, Mrs. Stella Ijeoma Ubah, was warmly received by AIG Oladipo at the Zonal Headquarters.
During the meeting, Mrs. Ubah highlighted the importance of fostering a strong partnership between the Police and the community to enhance mutual understanding, communication, and effective policing.
Ubah expressed gratitude to the AIG for granting the delegation an audience and reaffirmed the Unit’s commitment to supporting the Police in ensuring safer communities.
In his response, AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo commended the Anambra PCRC Special Unit for its exemplary dedication, describing the Unit as one of a kind, a model in community-police relations. He emphasised the critical role of PCRC in complementing police efforts, particularly through voluntary resource mobilisation and grassroots engagement.
The AIG lauded the Unit’s selfless service and called for increased public support and stronger partnerships to enhance security in Anambra and Enugu States.
Reiterating the commitment of the Zone 13 Command, AIG Oladipo assured residents of the Zone of the Police’s unwavering dedication to its constitutional mandate of protecting lives and property.
He urged continued cooperation from the public and stakeholders to sustain peace and security in the region.
The visit concluded with both parties reaffirming their commitment to collaborative efforts in promoting safety and security.
