PDP Big Wigs Decamp To APGA In Anambra

Grassroots representatives of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), under the name Odenigbo Political Vanguard, converged over the weekend to finalize plans to host the mother of all decampments to APGA.

The group plans to hold their mega endorsement rally for Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s second-term election in the near future, believing it will hit the opposition elements in the state like a thunderstorm.

The convener of the group, Hon. Chukwudi Alex Umeaba while speaking during their preparatory meeting at the New Orleans Hotel, Udoka, Awka, stated that they only gathered a few of their members in preparation for their endorsement rally for Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo.

Umeaba vowed that their group would never tolerate double-dealing or anti-party activities.

Their resolve, according to him, stems from their collective conviction that Governor Charles Soludo has achieved in two years what all his predecessors could not accomplish in their respective eight years of tenure, even without borrowing.

The leader of the group in Anambra North, Chief Oforka Uchenu, from Anaku in Ayamelum Local Government, confessed that they are tired of playing opposition politics and would now like to join the mainstream as well as support the good work of Soludo’s APGA-led government in the state.

Chief Oforka Uchenu likened their condition during the past 18 years of playing second fiddle in Anambra politics to that of a football club that is always missing its coveted trophy by slim margins.

Similarly, Iyom Ifeoma Anyaka emphasized how the remarkable work of Governor Soludo inspired her to join the Odenigbo Political Vanguard, especially considering the wonderful projects Soludo has undertaken in Onitsha, Okpoko, and, most importantly, her hometown, Oraifite in Ekwusigo Local Government.

The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, and the SPAD on Political Matters to the Governor, Dr Alex Obiogbolu ( Oganiru Anambra) in their respective messages, thanked the group and assured them of ample space in APGA to accommodate them.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that Ezeajughi took time to educate them on the agenda of the Governor in the state.
