Peter Obi: Wizkid’s manager reacts to viral Labour party concert with Singer’s photo

Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are, has threatened to file a lawsuit against individuals who are exploiting the musician to advertise a performance for Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP).

There were flyers circulating on social media that claimed Wizkid would perform at Obi’s rally in Abuja.

According to the event’s advertisement, it will take place on February 18 in Eagle Square in Abuja and is titled “2023 ObiDatti Showdown Music Concert.”

Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, 2baba, and Seun Kuti are among the other music luminaries scheduled to appear at the performance.

At the show, comedians, actors, DJs, and dancers are all anticipated to perform.

Are, however, cautioned that the event was a hoax and that those responsible would face legal repercussions in a social media post on Friday.

He says, “This is to inform the general public that this event is a scam, Wizkid, and his management know nothing about this event and accordingly, he will not perform at the said event as claimed. So please beware of this poster and information put out from its organizers as Wizkid and his management will not be liable for any damages.

“Appropriate legal action is currently being explored against the persons responsible for creating and disseminating this false information.”
