In response to a distress call, Police Operatives on Thursday July 4th 2024 rescued two victims as building collapse at Ekeoyibo market, Amawbia, Anambra State.
According to SP Tochukwu Ikenga,
Police Public Relations Officer,
Anambra State Police Command, the victims have been taken to the hospital for medical care.
Anambra Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam and the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations led operatives at the scene for on-the-spot assessment.
Angel Network News (ANN) reports that the area has been cordoned off and rescue Operations are still ongoing.
