Anambra Police command has rescued an abducted victim and recovered his vehicle, a sky blue Toyota Camry in Aguata LGA, Angel Network News (ANN) reports.
The Officers responded swiftly when they got the report on Wednesday of the abduction along Umuchiana village, Ekwulobia, Aguata LGA.
According to a release by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra State Command, during the hot chase by the Police team, the criminals shoved the victim out of the vehicle at Ndike village in Orumba North LGA and drove off for escape.
The Officers sustained the trail on the abductors and the criminals abandoned the vehicle along Umunze road Orumba South LGA and ran into a nearby bush. Operations are still ongoing for the possible arrest of the hoodlums.
Angel Network News (ANN) gathered that the victim has been debriefed and reunited with his family.
To this end, the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam while hailing the gallantry performance displayed by the Operatives assures ndi Anambra that the Police and other security agencies will do everything within the law to ensure they deny criminals the opportunity to foment troubles and re-group anywhere in the State
