Businessman and politician Ned Nwoko has released a startling statement alleging that his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, is struggling with drug and alcohol abuse, claiming this behavior is the true source of recent domestic chaos.
The statement, titled “REGINA’S UNPROVOKED CARNAGE AND RAMPAGE IN MY HOUSE AND IN MY ABSENCE,” was issued after reports surfaced regarding distress in their home.
Mr. Nwoko firmly denied any implication of violence on his part, contrasting his wife’s actions with his own behavior. “I have other wives, and none will ever accuse me of violence. Regina is the violent one here,” he stated. He then detailed recent incidents of physical aggression and property damage, claiming the actress was responsible for “slapping and hitting 3 staff in the past 48 hours and destroying property, including cars and windows, for no just cause.”
According to Nwoko, the core issue is his wife’s battle with substance abuse. He insisted that he has attempted to facilitate recovery. “Her current battle with drugs and alcohol abuse is the root of our problem. She must continue her rehabilitation program, or I fear for her life and safety,” the statement read.
Nwoko specified a non-negotiable condition for reconciliation, noting, “I have set a clear condition for her to accept rehab in Asokoro or outside Nigeria especially Jordan where she will not have access to drugs.”
Furthermore, the statement claimed that after their child named Moon was taken to the hospital—an action Nwoko says a “clear headed regina would have taken”—a chaotic scene unfolded at the residence. Mr. Nwoko went on to accuse two specific individuals, Sammy and Ann, of being Regina Daniels’ main drug suppliers.
