Highlights: Ronaldo converts pen, scores first goal for Al-Nassr in 2-2 draw against Al Fateh

…In the 93rd minute, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a penalty goal for Al-Nassr.

Cristiano Ronaldo finally opened his account for Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League but was unable to guide his team to victory against Al Fateh on Friday.  Al-Nassr received a penalty in the second injury time and Ronaldo made no mistake from the spot to make the score 2-2.

Al Nassr fell behind in the 12th minute when former Barcelona winger Cristian Tello volleyed home superbly from outside the penalty area.

Ronaldo momentarily thought he had equalized midway through the first half when he produced a clean finish to beat the keeper one-on-one.

But Ronaldo was flagged for offside, a decision that was confirmed by a VAR review.

Ronaldo’s finishing was far from clean in the 35th minute when he fired high and wide from a rebound attempt after teammate Talisca had hit the post.

Talisca then drew Al Nassr level on 42 minutes with his 13th Saudi Pro League goal of the season, strengthening his position as the competition’s leading scorer.

The Brazilian beat the Al Fateh keeper with a low strike from 17 yards after being picked out by overlapping left-back Ghislain Konan.

Ronaldo missed another big chance just before half time when he rattled a powerful effort off the crossbar with his left foot.

The teams looked evenly matched for the majority of the game before Sofiane Bendebka pulled off a stunning volley as Al Fateh took the lead again. However, Ronaldo was the talisman for his side as the match finished in a 2-2 draw.

Ronaldo was able to send the ball to the back of the net early in the game but it did not count as he was judged to be offside. In the second half, he received another golden chance to score but this time, his shot was not strong and it slammed into the bar before sailing over the opposition goal.
