The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has appointed Mr. Sani Magaji Tambuwal as the Acting Clerk to the National Assembly.
The commission also announced the appointment of key officers to man the top management team of the National Assembly bureaucracy.
NASC’s Executive Chairman, Engr. Ahmed Kadi Amshi, announced the appointments in a statement on Friday.
He said the appointments were sequel to the approval by the Commission of a memorandum presented by the Committee on Establishment, Records and Training to the Commission on the need to fill existing vacancies in the National Assembly Management team.
Amshi said Tambuwal is to work with the outgoing Clerk, Arc. Ojo Olatunde Amos, who is due to retire on February 14, 2023.
Until his new appointment, Magaji Tambuwal was the Secretary of Finance and Accounts.
Officers appointed into the management team are: Mr. Ogunlana Kamoru, Acting Deputy Clerk; Mrs. Henrietta Aimua-Ehikioya, Secretery of Legal Services; Mr. Birma Shuaibu, Acting Secretary of Human Resources Directorate and Mr. Umoru Barde Ali, Acting Secretary of Research and Information.
Others are Mr. Omogbehin Yomi, the Acting Secretary, Special Duties; Mr. Inyang Clement Titus, Acting Secretary of Finance and Accounts and Mr. Nwoba Andrew O, Director, the Acting Secretary of Planning and Legislative Budget.
