SENATOR VICTOR UMEH SPEAKS ON THE ARREST OF NNAMDI KANU

Senator Victor Umeh, in an interview with the BBC and monitored by ANN, spoke about the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu. He further suggested the way forward for Nigeria. According to him, he has always wanted peace to reign in Nigeria, and to achieve that, he and other Eastern representatives have been advising Federal Government to maintain impartiality.
He said that although Nnamdi Kanu believes that he is fighting for Justice, the methods he uses are his way of doing it. The Igbos never agreed with Nnamdi Kanu to achieve this Justice through violence. He condemned the act of violence caused in the name of fighting for BIAFRA.
Moving on, the Senator suggested that, the only way Nigeria’s government will solve the current problems in Nigeria is to settle the origin of the problem. This is by eradicating any form of corruption and promoting progress in every part of Nigeria.
