Afrobeat musician Seun Kuti has claimed that American internet personality IShowSpeed’s recent tour across Africa was a covert “spy job” secretly sponsored by billionaire Elon Musk.
Kuti made the allegation in a widely circulated video statement on Monday seen by ANN, suggesting the high-profile visit had ulterior motives beyond entertainment.
According to Seun Kuti, IShowSpeed’s African tour was funded by billionaire tech mogul, Elon Musk, aimed at testing the reach of his satellite across the African continent.
”They all have the agenda. All that was a spy job for Elon Musk. I hail him and we have our own people pursuing him with us“, He added.
Seun Kuti stated that during IShowSpeed’s visit to Nigeria, the show promoters and the streamer’s close associates reached out to him.

Notably, during the tour generated 16 million hours of watch time and peaked at 418,300 concurrent viewers on YouTube.
Additionally , IShowSpeed expressed gratitude and reflected on the experience, stating it ‘opened his eyes’ and “changed his life for the better.
He hit the milestone of 50 million subscribers on YouTube during his African tour, specifically while he was in Nigeria celebrating his 21st birthday.
