Singer Alexander Adelabu, known as Magixx, has announced the death of his mother, Esther, describing the loss as the most painful experience of his life.
The 26-year-old Mavin Records artiste shared an emotional tribute on social media, saying he was still struggling to accept the reality of her passing.
“I have never felt pain like this. Never been this lost. Still processing that this is real. Can’t believe this happened to you, Mom,” he wrote.
Magixx praised his mother’s strength, noting that she continued to support her family, friends and strangers even while battling illness over the past six years.
“You are my reason, my why, my guardian, my twin, my everything,” he added.
He described her as free-spirited, witty and kind, saying those who met her were drawn to her personality. The singer expressed regret that he could not tell her in person one last time how much he loved her, and said he would choose her as his mother again in every lifetime.
Magixx concluded that the farewell was not permanent, writing that they would meet again.
