Governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Soludo has commiserate with
the Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South Local Government, Prince Neville Uchendu as he buries his father.
Governor Soludo praised late Nze John Uchendu’s impactful life and pledged to continue improving the lives of Ndị Anambra through infrastructure development.
ANN reports that the late Nze Uchendu is survived by 14 children, 33 grandchildren, and 42 great-grandchildren.
The deceased Known as ‘Ụlọ Udo di’ hailed from Unuegbu Kindred in Okpunoifite village, Ogboji in
Orumba South. He was a Catholic and community builder and lived for 93 years.
In his sermon during the funeral service held at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Ogboji, Rev. Fr. Johnmark Okafor encouraged Christians to reflect on life, death, and the significance of living a Christian life.
Rev. Fr. Okafor highlighted the importance of faith and the legacy of the departed in remaining a steadfast Christian.
Responding, Prince Uchendu appreciated those who came to bid farewell to his late father and expressed gratitude for his father’s commitment to peace and his extensive contributions to the community’s development and philanthropy.
