The commissioning ceremony, held in Umueri, Anambra East local government area, was marked by celebration and a strong reaffirmation of the state government’s commitment to the Public-Private-Community Partnership (PPCP) model.

Soludo praised the gesture as exemplary and perfectly aligned with his administration’s development philosophy, stating that the sense of community is the foundation for the progress of Anambra.

The Governor directly addressed the project’s benefactor, Igwe Ben Emeka, stating, “Once you build it, I’ll come and commission it,” a promise that stresses his administration’s pledge to support and celebrate community-led infrastructure projects.

In his address, Igwe Emeka expressed optimism that the newly commissioned Nzegwu Okoye Road is expected to significantly improve transportation and boost economic activities for residents and businesses in the area.

Angel Network News (ANN) reports that
the monarch maintained that the project stands as a concrete testament to the efficacy of collaborative development, where government encouragement meets private and community execution for the common good.
