“We are in partnership with a US group to see how participants can have a market to promote and sell their works.

“Following our engagement with the Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, we have started developing an e-commerce software that will help our people explore technology in business activities. We are also thinking of how to scale it to other states.

“This e-commerce software will help develop a comprehensive database of everyone in the state and to make online trading easy. Individuals, through the platform, can put in their products once they register and the backend people will identify what they need and purchase.

“It is important to note that this initiative comes on a zero-funding basis for the state governments. All they require is provide the platform. We are not requesting money from the government to run the initiative.

“Although, we have private people running similar things as an enterprise, we believe that when the government comes fully with its platforms, we would be able to reach more people and achieve greater impact,” Nebo noted.

The tech expert, who said tech companies in the region are now uniting to provide solutions to the ailing economy of the country and the region, stressed that if the region and its governments can fully take advantage of the enablements of the ICT, the region will become a hub for technology in no distant time.
