‘Stop the Noise’: Blord Slams ‘Bragging’ Billionaires After Chiefpriest’s Imo Homecoming

Entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, has taken to social media to fire a thinly veiled broadside at celebrity nightlife personality Cubana Chiefpriest following the latter’s recent homecoming in Orsu, Imo State, sparking reactions from entertainment circles and fans across the country.

Chiefpriest, whose real name is Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, returned to his hometown in Orsu Local Government Area after five years away, unveiling a luxurious mansion that drew celebratory crowds and widespread attention online. The socialite posted images and videos of the grand welcome, emphasising the comforts and achievements he has enjoyed before returning to the village for the holiday season.

In a series of posts shared on his Instagram stories, Blord appeared to reference Chiefpriest’s show of wealth, contrasting it with his own earlier success and warning against undue pressure on those still striving. “Some people wey just built house in the village this year dey make noise up and down […] imagine if they tell say only one of my app go wipe is full net worth him go calm down,” Blord wrote, lamenting what he described as “bragging” by wealthy individuals.

He continued: “All this rich men wey sabi brag, none of them fit do 10 percent of what I did at my age […] God blessed you at 40 we nor go hear word. Stop stop stop.” The remarks reflect Blord’s frustration with public perception and comparisons of personal achievements in the social media age.

Blord, a prominent cryptocurrency investor and founder of Blord Group, has frequented headlines for both his rapid rise in the fintech space and past legal entanglements with law enforcement over allegations of fraud and security funding, matters he has contested in court.

Chiefpriest’s festive village return, widely shared across social platforms, was framed by the nightlife figure as a joyful celebration of success and community — with many villagers welcoming him back with music and dancing — and marked by social media posts highlighting luxury vehicles and amenities at his estate.

Blord’s social media comments come amid growing online conversation about displays of wealth and status among Nigeria’s wealthy celebrities and tech entrepreneurs, with fans and critics alike weighing in on the interplay between success, humility and public image.

As of this report, Chiefpriest has not publicly responded to Blord’s remarks.
