The Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Youth Empowerment Programme, Dr Nelson Omenugha has charged the Anambra Diaspora Community to think of human capital development investment and “empower a youth” with a lifelong skill. Dr Omenugha made this call as a special guest to the meeting of Anambra State Association – United States of America (ASA-USA) Miami and Otu-Umuokpu Anambra USA Association respectively.
Speaking to the meeting of ASA-USA Miami, Florida via Zoom, Dr Nelson noted that the task of building a prosperous Anambra is a collective one that requires investment in human capital. He highlighted the place of the youth as a critical partner in State building and tasked the meeting to “Adopt and Empower” a youth with a lifelong skill.
Also, at the event organized by Otu-Umuokpu Anambra USA Association in Houston to raise funds for their annual empowerment programmes, Dr Omenugha took turns to commend their initiatives and charge members to invest in human capital development to foster the development of the State.
“There is no other State to call home except Anambra. We must unite and ensure that Anambra flourishes. Investment in youth empowerment is key. “Adopt and Empower a Youth” with a lifelong skill today” he concludes.
