President Bola Tinubu has assured residents of Plateau State that the recent deadly attack in Jos will not be repeated, pledging intensified security measures across the region.
Speaking during a visit to the state on Tuesday, Tinubu condemned the violence and vowed that perpetrators would face justice.
“This attack will not repeat itself,” he declared. “We are deploying additional resources and personnel to ensure the safety of every Nigerian, regardless of location.”
He added that the federal government was working closely with state authorities to address root causes of insecurity in the area.
Tinubu’s comments come after gunmen killed several people in Jos North, prompting widespread condemnation and renewed calls for decisive action against communal violence in north-central Nigeria.
