* Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo has, in annoyance, terminated the contract for the rehabilitation of the Isuofia—Igboukwu Road over the slow pace of work at the site. The, Governor who recently visited the site en route his hometown, described the company handling the contract as ‘very useless’ company for having not delivered the project in the record time of October, and for also failing to deliver it in November after requesting for additional one month, which was graciously granted to them.
The visibly angry Soludo also chided the contractor and the company for blocking the road and its entrances for months in the name of construction work, thereby subjecting the citizens to untold hardship, despite which it still has not completed and delivered the project till date.
* Motorcyclists have been advised to always be careful and put on their crash helmets as their lives are in their hands. This was made known by the Public Education Officer, FRSC, Margaret Onabe, as she commended Architect Emeka Uganeme for providing 200 pieces of crash helmets, which were handover to the Motorcycle Transport Union of Nigeria (MUTUN) Nanka in Anambra state.
*The Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, has said worshipping of idols is fast growing in the state, especially amongst the youth. As a consequence, the governor has tasked the church to confront the development head-on to save the state from being totally taken over by occultic powers. Soludo made the call at the dedication of a new church building of the House of Testimony, Life of Faith Gospel Assembly, Federal Housing Estate, Onitsha.

* Nimo community in Njikoka Local Government (LGA) area in Anambra State has praised the government of Anambra State led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo for installing street lights in the community. Speaking to ANN, Mr. Nnaemeka Oraka said; “I attracted 325 numbers of solar street light to cover for the replacement of all the grid type street light that traversed Nimo. The street lights is currently being mounted from Ezielias to secretariat, then St Michael’s road through St Mary’s church to Umudu and Umudunu.
Installation which is led by Hon. Chukwuma Omile opined yesterday, December 4th 2022 and will continue. I Will like if it is possible for Nimo to fix some of the failed poles so that no single point will be jumped. Indeed, the solution is here. He stated
* Ohanaeze Ndigbo has Inaugurated Awka North Executives. The event which was held at the Awka North local government council headquarters in Achalla, had in attendance the state President, Obi Chukwuemekalum Udodeme, Adama II of Dim-Ubana village, state executive members, the host members; Ohanaeze Ndigbo Awka-North and several invitees who graced the event from different parts of the state.
* A one-year-old boy lost his life when he fell into a bucket of water. The boy made his way to where the buckets of water were arranged outside and fell inside one of the buckets as the siblings were busy playing. It was gathered that the incident happened in Nnewi, Anambra State, after his parents left him in the care of his siblings. He had already died before his corpse was found.
* Members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council, has been urged to send in their entries for the Prof. Chinyere Stella Okunna Award for Ethical Journalism. In a release by comrade Chigozie Chukwuleta, secretary to the committee, stated that entries are open to only registered members of the NUJ, Anambra State Council.
According to the release, it is an award endowed by foremost communication scholar and journalism educator, Prof. Chinyere Okunna, to promote journalism in the best ethical tradition.
* A commercial motorcyclist has died after an overtaking that led to a multiple auto crash at the Nteje—Oyi Bridge, by the Nteje—Otuocha Road in Anambra State.
The unidentified rider of Kumata Motorcycle with no registration number died alongside one other, while three others sustained varied degrees of injury in the crash that happened
*The Young Progressive Party (YPP) House of Representatives candidate for Awka North and Awka South Federal Constituency, Hon. Kingsley Uyammadu, weekend, announced that God has anointed him as Messiah to salvage his people on 2023. Uyammadu, who disclosed this at Awka, during an interactive session with the members of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Anambra State Council led by Comrade Odogwu Emeka Odogwu PhD during the last congress of the year, explained that with him at the National Assembly, his constituents and the nation at large would experience a divine turnaround in policy making and others. According to the 50-year-old industrialist turned politician, political instability, inconsistency in policy making, among others were denying the country opportunity to attract foreign and local investors.
* The lawmaker representing Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha Federal Constituency and Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Hon. Dozie Nwankwo, MHR, (Onyendozi), has commiserated with the victims of the fire outbreak at Kano Street, beside main market, Onitsha. Onyendozi, who expressed sadness over the incident, sympathises with those whose shops and warehouses got burnt or lost goods worth millions in the unfortunate incident which occurred early hours of Monday, around 1am.
