* The Nimo community in the Njikoka Local Government Area of Anambra State has condemned a protest led by a native it described as a self-styled lawyer, over land.
In a statement by the President General of Nimo Town Development Union, Chief Ekenenna Omabu Okafor, the community condemned the protest in its entirety, naming one Uche Isikala, based in the United States as the financier of the troublemakers in the community.
* Anambra Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo said the state government is making plans to help Mr and Mrs Amaechi offset part of their hospital bill.

* The Anambra State House of Assembly at their plenary had one minute silence in honour of late
Chinwoke Mbadinuju (Odera), first Executive Governor of the state, who passed on April 11, 2023 at the age of 78. Anambra Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor in his tribute said the news of the sudden demise of Mbadinuju came as a shock. Okafor asked the family to ensure his good legacies are sustained while praying that the Almighty God grant his soul eternal rest.
* Immanuel Anglican Church, Umunnachi, Dunukofia Council Area has confered an award of Father Of Faith to Chief Basil Ikwumelu of Mgbuke village Umunnachi. This was in recognition of services to the church using his wealth of knowledge and experience as a retired Vice Principal and teacher to attract progress and development in the church and Umunnachi community in general.
* Two weeks after an ex-corps member delivered quintuplets, Anambra State government has approved the sum of N2 million for the family. The ex-corps member, Mrs Chidinma Amaechi was recently delivered of a set of quintuplets at Life International Hospital, Awka, Anambra State capital.
* The senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Sen. Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, has installed Closed Circuit Television (popularly known as CCTV cameras) at strategic locations within the senatorial district as part of his efforts to track, fight, and curb insecurity and other forms of crimes in the zone. Senator Ubah had earlier donated security gadgets worth hundreds of millions of naira to Anambra State Government, as part of his contributions and support towards fighting insecurity in the State.
* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has written to the Anambra House of Assembly requesting the lawmakers to authorize the Federal Government to deduct domestic liability from the outstanding sixty percent refund due to states from the unauthorized debit/withdrawals in the Excess Crude Account (ECA) petroleum profit tax of the federation.
Anambra Assembly Speaker, Rt. Hon. Uche Okafor who read the letter at plenary assured Soludo of the support from the lawmakers.
