* A Convener of Ochendo Vanguards and Grand Patron of Ide Movement, High Chief Inno-Posh Chikezie, has called on Anambra citizens to re-elect Governor Soludo again, come November 8, 2025, citing what he calls the Governor’s demystification of governance through creative and innovative approach in making Anambra a livable homeland.

He stated this at a parley with a group of artisans in his country home, Ichida, Anaocha LGA, who came to thank him for supporting their businesses. He enumerated what he called the giant strides of the Governors to include:

* The Commissioner Of Police Anambra State Police Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu has received the award of ‘Best Crime Fighter’ from the Razornewsng.com in his Office at the Headquarters.

CP Orutugu after receiving the award,
dedicated the feat to the Anambra Police Management team, Officers and Men of the Police Command and other Security agencies.

The CP in his appreciation acknowledged the contributions of the Police, but said that ‘it is not yet Uhuru’ as the Command shall continue to explore every necessary security measure to stabilize the State.

The Management of the Razornewsng.com stated that the Security reporting team has been monitoring the command security progression and noted the testament to the CP’s exceptional leadership and his commitment to maintaining law and order in the State.

This recognition highlights the police command’s recent efforts especially with the launch of Operation Ugo Ga Chi – Zero Kidnapping, a more coordinated approach to reclaiming the public space by the Police and other security agencies through sustained patrols and targeted security operations in the State.

The Command has demonstrated its commitment to proactive security measures, fostering collaboration with stakeholders, and building trust with the community.

* The Mayor of Njikoka LGA, Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba, was among the distinguished guests present at the grand thanksgiving and reception in honour of Noble Lady Dr. Chinwe Irene Mgbajiaka, the Supreme Subordinate Auxiliary President of Nigeria.

The colourful event, held at Assumption Catholic Church, Nimo, brought together dignitaries, members of the Knights and Ladies of St. John International, religious leaders, and members of the public to celebrate Lady Chinwe Irene’s elevation and outstanding service to the Church and humanity.

Barr. Ononiba, in his remarks, praised Noble Lady Chinwe Irene for her leadership, dedication, and inspirational impact on women in faith and public service. He also reaffirmed the council’s continuous support for faith-based initiatives that promote unity and community development.

* 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi has visited St. Luke Diocesan Hospital in Ogbaru, Anambra State and donated five million naira for a major upgrade of the laboratory.

The hospital is run by the Anglican Diocese of Ogbaru under the leadership of Bishop Prosper Amah.

Receiving the cheque, Bishop Amah described the donation as “a transformative investment in community health.”

In his remark, Obi emphasized the importance of modern diagnostic tools, saying, “This upgrade will save lives.” He also pledged to monitor the project and offer more support where needed.

Obi was accompanied by Prof. Stella Chinyere Okunna and Hon. Afam Ogene, the federal representative for Ogbaru.

* Ahead of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UMTE) scheduled to commence on April 24 across the country, the Anambra State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Comdt. Maku Olatunde has ordered the deployment of personnel to provide security for the smooth and hitch- free examination across the state.

Briefing the Area Commanders, Divisional Officers, Heads of Formations and Composite Commanders on at the Command Headquarters Awka, Anambra State NSCDC boss said the personnel would respond promptly to duty calls, provide security for the critical infrastructure, prevent intrusion of unwanted

persons and uphold the integrity of the examination in all the 33 accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centers across the state.

He directed that personnel arrive at the centers before 6:00 am each day, emphasizing their key role in screening candidates for prohibited items and maintaining a serene environment throughout the examination period.

Comdt. Maku tasked them to caution operatives assigned to the CBT centers to strictly adhere to the guidelines governing the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination and maintain utmost professionalism in the discharge of their duties.

The NSCDC State helmsman warned against unauthorized persons loitering around designated CBT exam centers and advised candidates against bringing prohibited items, emphasising the command’s commitment to arrest and prosecute anyone found wanting.

* Following the launch of Operation Udo Ga Chi Zero Kidnapping, especially during this Easter period and beyond, the Commissioner of Police Anambra State Police Command CP Ikioye Orutugu has continued to visit more stakeholders. The visit is aimed at garnering support for the Police Command and other security agencies in the State.

As part of the strategy, the CP is leveraging on community engagements, resources and intelligence to improve the security operations, especially building relationships with stakeholders that can help the Police Command to better understand the community needs and concerns, as well as improving on security in every area of the State.

The CP visited Sir Emeka Offor, patrolled and monitored security deployment in Ihiala where he stopped by at Obijackson’s place and in Ukpo, greeted Chief Vincent Udobi.

* The National President, Heavy Duty Drivers’ Association, Hon. Uche Rogers Nebuwa, has assured that Prof. Chukwuma Soludo will will return as the Governor of Anambra State.

According to the Drivers’ President the achievements of the governor especially on roads, human capital development, security among others will speak for him come November 8, 2025 gubernatorial election.

“The governor has done a lot in security, these killer native doctors that work with Yahoo boys, Okite and others are deadly and should not be spared. They are all killers and if not for Soludo, by now we would have left the state for them,” he further disclosed’. Nebuwa said

* Member representating Onitsha South one constituency in Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Fed Ezenwa has stated that the inmates at Onitsha Correctional Services are not forgotten.

Hon. Ezenwa in an interview with newsmen at Onitsha Correctional Services emphasized that as the Christians all over the world were celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, each and every inmates in the prison facility would be resurrected.

The lawmaker who witnessed the Easter celebration of Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha, His Grace, Most Rev. Valerian Maduka Okeke with the inmates said that the inmates would start experiencing a new life if they give their lives to Jesus Christ who have resurrected from the death.

He urged them to adhere to the homily of Archbishop Okeke and start living a new life, saying that it shall be well with them and even though they are staying at the facility doesn’t mean that they are forgotten.

* Anambra state government says the demolished Innoson Showroom was marked since November 2024.

Anambra Commissioner for Information, Dr. Law Mefor, in a press statement
noted that it is pertinent to correct the deliberate misinformation peddled by paid content creators to discredit the good works of the state government.

“The Government of Anambra State is constrained to issue some clarifications on the trending misinformation about the Innoson Motors Showroom that was partially demolished at Nnewi. The verifiable facts are as follows.

“Firstly, since the inception of the Soludo administration, there has been no instance where demolition or removal of structures was undertaken without due process and consultation with critical stakeholders’.

* The All Progressives Congress (APC) has collapsed in Ihiala LGA, as the entire 20 ward chairmen and their exco members, across the 20 wards in Ihiala have left APC and joined the Young Progressives Party (YPP).

Also, the LGA Chairman of the APC in Ihiala, has left the APC and joined YPP, with all the LGA exco members of the party.
