* Ihiala LGA have unanimously rejected candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu and candidates of other political parties for the November 8th governorship election but collectively endorsed as well as ratified Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for a second term in office, following monumental transformations across the entire state.
This unanimous endorsement of the incumbent governor was the climax of a stakeholders meeting held at Ihiala Local Government Headquarters where the movers and shakers of Ihiala declared in unison that Governor Soludo will not lose a single vote in all the 20 wards of the council area irrespective of oppositions’ malignancy.
The stakeholders who took turns to reiterate the governor’s unwavering commitment to infrastructural cum human capital development, maintained that Ihiala is an eloquent testimony of the governor’s resolve to change the narratives of the state.
* Former Minister of Aviation and public policy advocate, Chief Osita Chidoka, has formally endorsed the re-election bid of Governor Chukwuma Soludo, describing him as “a model for the Anambra of our dreams.”
Speaking during a live radio interview in Anambra, Chidoka praised Soludo’s exceptional credentials, visionary leadership, and tangible achievements over the past three years.
Chidoka emphasised that the November 8 gubernatorial election is not just a political contest but “a serious and fundamental decision about the future of Anambra State.”
* The Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Sen. Dr. Tony Nwoye, has extended his heartfelt condolences to His Grace, Most Rev. Dr. Valerian Maduka Okeke, the Metropolitan of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province and Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha, as well as to the entire Catholic community in Anambra State, Nigeria, and across the globe, on the passing of His Holiness Pope Francis, the 266th Supreme Pontiff of the Roman Catholic Church and Bishop of Rome (Summus Pontifex Ecclesiae Universalis, Episcopus Romanus).
In a condolence message, Dr. Nwoye expressed his sympathy to all Catholics and the broader Christian faithful on the loss of Pope Francis, whom he described as a devoted servant of God renowned for his humility, deep emphasis on God’s mercy, love for the poor, commitment to the marginalized, and dedication to interfaith dialogue.

* The members of Keke Riders Association, Bus and Okada Union in a solidarity walk, stormed the Nnewi North Secretariat to register their supports in the ongoing road construction Projects in the area.
The General Secretary of Motorcycle Union of Nigeria, Nnewi North Chapter, Hon. Gilbert Ndu while speaking, expressed their appreciation to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on massive road projects.
Members of the Union who spoke individually to newsmen charged the governor to continue in his projects and not to listen to voice of distractions as the Union are in full Support of his achievements.

* The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa has paid a courtesy visit to former Minister of Aviation, Chief Osita Chidoka at his country home in Obosi, Idemili North LGA of Anambra State.
The visit comes on the heels of Chief Chidoka’s widely acknowledged endorsement of Governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo for a second term in office, made during a radio interview.
In his remarks, Chief Chidoka praised Governor Soludo’s performance, describing his leadership as “visionary, courageous, and deeply rooted in the realities and aspirations of Ndi Anambra.”
* The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has deployed one thousand six hundred corps members for 2025 Batch A stream one orientation programme to Anambra State.
The State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Pauline Ojisua, who disclosed this on Friday, during the official swearing-in ceremony, held at the Nnamdi Azikiwe NYSC permanent orientation camp at Mbaukwu/Umuawulu, Awka South Local Government Area, revealed that 949 of them were females while 651 were males.
According to the State Coordinator, the orientation course is designed to equip corps members with skills, values and adaptability require to excel in their service year.
Anambra Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr. Patrick Agha Mba, while declaring the event open, urged the newly posted corps members to key into his vision of making Anambra a livable, prosperous and sustainable smart city in Nigeria by involving in the ongoing One Youth Two Skills empowerment programme in the state

* The candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) for the November 8th 2025 Anambra State governorship election, Sir Paul Chukwuma has unveiled Hon. Uzo Okagbue as his running mate.
Chukwuma after unveiling Okagbue, aide to former Anambra governor, Willie Obiano, as his running mate said: Uzu is a fitting choice for my progressive vision for Anambra State. God has made it possible for us to agree in one voice on who should be our deputy governorship candidate.
In his acceptance speech, Okagbue said he was ready to partner with Chukwuma to give Anambra the development that she deserves.
“I will work hard to achieve our manifesto at the background and that is what I know how best to do. I will support Chukwuma to bring a message of hope, freedom and better ways to do things to Anambra.
* The Anambra State Government wishes to inform the general public that the suspension of the monthly sanitation exercise in Anambra State by Governor Chukwuma Soludo remains in force.
Consequently, the sanitation exercise will not prevent students writing the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examination on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
According to a release by Commissioner for Information, Anambra State, Dr. Law Mefor, the Governor’s belief that sanitation should be a daily practice, rather than a monthly ritual necessitated the directive to suspend the monthly sanitation exercise months ago. He encourages ndi Anambra to maintain cleanliness in their homes and environment daily, embracing the principle that cleanliness is next to godliness.
Accordingly, ndị Anambra are advised to go about their normal activities every Saturday, including students sitting for the JAMB examination this Saturday.
* The Mayor of Orumba South, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike has launched the Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Exercise in Orumba South.
The event which was witnessed by a large turn out of youths and stakeholders within the Local Government took place at Umunze the Headquarters of Orumba South with over 100 youths singing and chanting songs of praises to the Working Governor of the State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo along the major roads of the Capital of Orumba South.
Speaking shortly after the walk out, the Mayor of Orumba South, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike lauded the First Lady of the State, Dr. Nonye Soludo for coming up with this wonderful initiative and enjoined the youths to take the programme seriously because a healthy society is a wealthy society.
