* The former aspirant for House of Representatives, Awka North and South Federal Constituency under the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Hon. Chief Christian Ezenwoke has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the massive educational development in the state. Ezenwoke made this statement on the victory of ndi Anambra in National Girls ICT Competition organized by the Federal Ministry of Communication, Innovation and Digital Economy.

* The member representing Idemili South cosstituency Hon. Ebuka Igwe has embarked on massive reconstruction and renovation of primary and secondary schools in his constituency. Hon. Igwe while speaking during his visitation to Unity Secondary school, Nnokwa, maintained thay he was not comfortable over the dilapidated condition of some of the schools, hence his decision to intervene and promised to renovate the school and exam hall. The Lawmaker stated that, his interest is for the constituents and that he wishes students to study in a conductive environment, have access to portable water and easy access to health care services. Igwe added that, he will continue to do his best to give umu Idemili South good representation and touch their lives in a positive way.

* The Transition Committee Chairman, Idemili North LGA, Chief Chuksbrown Igboanua, has said advised new APGA members not to engage in double-dealing and other anti-party activities. Igboanua while addressing a Labour Party big wig in Obosi, Chief Omezie Okeke and his followers who had defected to APGA because of Gov. Soludo’s exemplary and commendable political leadership in Anambra State. He said that no political party could beat APGA in elections in Anambra State if APGA members would harness their material and human resources and work with assiduity and unity of purpose. 

* The Chairman of Old Motor Spare Parts Mgbuka, Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area, Anambra State, Mr Samuel Ifurunwa has urged traders in the market to pay up their 2023 Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) which is the supposed payment for every trader in the state. Ifurunwa who said this through the acting PRO, Mr Chinedu Nkwegwu shortly after the market prayer at the market, stressed the need for the prompt payment of the money as it is one of the means through which IGR is generated. While lauding the state government for the rehabilitation work at Owerri Road which is one of the access roads to the market and his judicious use of state fund, he frowned at the reckless dressing by some traders in the market and some who also involve themselves in cultism and urged them to turn a new leaf.

* Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo has congratulated the outgoing State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye on his retirement from the force after  35 years in service and 10 months in charge of Anambra State police command. Soludo in his speech through his Deputy Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim at the Pull-Out Parade at Ekwueme Square in Awka, congratulated the retired CP and his families for their services and sacrifices to Ndi Anambra. Soludo commended and celebrated the retired officer for what he described as “meritorious services to the state and the fatherland”, adding that if it was possible, the state will retain him.

* The President General of Umunankwo in Ogbaru Local Government Area, Mr. Augustine Aniegbuna, says one of the greatest challenges confronting farmers in the area is lack of storage facilities for their harvested crops. Aniegbuna disclosed this during an advocacy visit by Social and Integral Development Centre, SIDEC, to the traditional ruler of Umunankwo, Igwe Fidelis Onumonu, ahead of the climate change sensitization programme to be organized for women and girls in the community. The visit is also one of the activities lined up under the project titled “Climate Change and You”, implemented by SIDEC, supported by the Action Aid Nigeria and funded by Global Affairs Canada.

* The traditional ruler of the Ogbunka community in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra state, Igwe John Mark Anyaoha, has conferred the chieftaincy title of Dike-Ochioha one (Great Warrior) on the outgoing commissioner of Police in the state, CP Aderemi Adeoye for curbing the activities of insurgency in the area. Anyaoha conferred the title on the CP alongside his wife, Mrs Bolanle Adeoye who was also honoured with a chieftaincy title of “Adaejiemba ‘N’ Ogbunka kingdom” at his palace. The honour was part of his the commissioner’s activities marking his retirement ceremony that begins with a pull-out parade at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka. Igwe Anyaoha, who thanked Adeoye for his efforts at restoring peace in the Ogbunka community and Anambra state in general, pledged his readiness to continue to partner with the police and other security agencies in the state in the fight against criminality.

* The former APGA aspirant for House of Assembly, Nnewi North Constituency, and former President General of Uruagu community Nnewi, High Chief Amb. Charles Nwonye has commended Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the construction of roads in Nnewi North local government, especially Okpuneze/Umuezeagu to Akamiri Umudim road, stating that Professor Soludo begun his rural/urban renewal project on good note. Nwonye said, the road project in the area when completed will enhance drainage system, saying that, the road was neglected by past administrations.

* The Anambra State Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Chief Sir Ifeatu Obi-Okoye has welcomed  members from PDP, APC, YPP and LP party that joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA), in Obosi, Idemili North Local Government, Anambra State.

Addressing the defectors, Obi-Okoye emphasized the importance of joining the new Solution Agenda, for the progress of the Anambra. He reaffirmed the principle of equality within the party and extended congratulations to Governor Charles Soludo for his leadership prowess. He enjoined them to work for the continuous growth and expansion of the party, adding that APGA house is too large to contain more defectors.
