* The member representing Oyi Constituency at the Anambra State House of Assembly, Hon. Innocent Ojike on Thursday at plenary, presented the report of the joint Committee on Commerce and Industry and Committee on Health, on the ‘Anambra State Factory Workers Safety Bill’
* The Transition Committee Chairman of Dunukofia LGA, CC Ozumba Esq, has restated his dedication to bringing development to all six communities in the Area. He made this assertion in his office at the council secretariat, Ukpo while addressing the delegation of APGA Apostles Forum who paid him a solidarity visit recently. Ozumba emphasized the importance of setting standard for future leaders, demonstrating that development should not be limited to one’s own community when in power.
* A Chieftain of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), who is the founder of Admin Foundation, Hon. Chief Promise Egbeji has said, education remains his top priority. He made this statement during his visitation to schools in Onitsha South, stating that Governor Charles Soludo has made education accessible to every child in the state and as a stakeholder, he is committed to complement the effort of Mr. Governor at grassroot.
* The Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South local government area, Hon. Shedrack Azubuike has received commendation for his effort towards uniting and development of youths in the council area. Hon. Azubuike was praised when he revealed the upcoming Sports competition by Orumba South stakeholders, stating that the power of youth is the common wealth for the entire world and the faces of young people are the faces of our past, our present and our future.
* The Anaocha LGA Chairman, Comr. Rome Ibekwe has visited Obeledu Women in the course of their August meeting at Obeledu Civic Centre, where he appreciated the women for their dedication and support to the welfare of the community. * Amb. Charles Ezeaniekwe, a leading contender for the National Speakership of the Youth Assembly of Nigeria (YAN), has paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, at the State House Complex. This visit was a strategic move to foster a relationship with the state’s legislative leadership and garner support for his candidacy.
* The Anambra government has commenced the 2024 Youths Reformation and Redirection Programme across the three senatorial districts. The programme which is implemented to reach youths of different categories including the working class is aimed to equip them with necessary life skills, reorient their mindset and imbibe them with strong moral values towards positive lifestyle. It’s vision is also to address anti-social activities prevalent among young people and to re-integrate them gainfully and meaningfully into society as change agents through value re-orientation, critical training processes, among others.
* The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze at plenary directed the Deputy Chairman House Committee on Women Affairs Hon. Fred Ezenwa, the member representing Onitsha South One, to take Chair of the committee till further notice
* Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu has commended Nduka Foundation for its commitment to the development of education in Anambra State. Sir. Nwosu made the commendation during the commissioning of the Divisional Library, Abagana in Njikọta LGA, and award of recognition of academic excellence for all primary schools in Anambra State, sponsored by Nduka Foundation, in collaboration with Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board (ASUBEB). According to the Commissioner, the project is a practical response to the Government’s Public Private Community Partnership (PPCP) initiative.
* Members of Anambra State House of Assembly Committee on Works has inspect on-going dualization and reconstruction of Amawbia-Agulu-Ekwulobia road. The Chairman, House Committee on Works and Infrastructure Hon. Emma Nwafor, during an oversight visit to the project site, emphasized that the road is vital for reducing traffic congestion and improving connectivity between communities within the state and neighboring states, thereby facilitating trade, movement, and communication. He described the construction as a crucial infrastructure project that is set to enhance the socio-economic activities in the state.
