* Anambra State House of Assembly has called on Governor Chukwuma Soludo to as a matter of urgency direct the Anambra State Road Maintainance Agency (ARMA) to commence immediate palliative work at dilapidated spots at Modene Avenue and Iweka road particularly at the front of Ochanja central market, Onitsha for easy flow of traffic in Onitsha and metropolis.
The member representing Onitsha South two constituency Hon. Jude Umennajiego who is the chief sponsor of the motion in his submission revealed that the Modene Avenue and Iwehka Road at Onitsha have very high volume of traffic, due to robust economic and commercial activities in the different markets that these roads lead to.
* Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC) has approved the release of the sum of one hundred and eighteen million, eight hundred and fifteen thousand, five naira, ninety-six kobo (N118,815,005.96) inclusive of Preliminaries, Contingencies, and 7.5% VAT of N8,911,125.45 for the construction of Premier Road, Onitsha in favour of Alitho Nig. Ltd. ANSEC also approved the release of the sum of one billion, eight hundred and fifty million naira (N1,850,000,000.00) being the Revised Estimated Total Cost (RETC) for the construction of Ukwuorji Awka – Umuenechi Village – Ifite Nibo – Isiagu Road with a 2.1km Spur to Zik Avenue.

* The youth wing of Association of Anambra State Town Union Unions (ASATU) has announced training opportunity from the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) called NISDP (National Industrial Skills Training Programme).
