* Amakor village in Nanka community of Orumba North Local Government Area, has appealed to the Anambra State governor, Prof Charles Soludo to avert the looming break down of law and order in the community. According to the villagers, if the governor fails to intervene urgently in the village over their marginalisation by Nanka community there may be serious break down of law and order.

The angry youths where chanting songs with placards such as “Owelle Nimo Must Go’. ‘The Current Leadership Of Nimo Community Town Development Union, Must Go’. ‘Aguiyi Must Go’. ‘With Aguiyi As TC Chairman Of Njikoka LGA, APGA Is Dead In Nimo’. Owelle And PG Nimo Has Failed Us’.

* The Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Anambra State, Chief Barr. Ifeatu Obiokoye has hinted that Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo may sack more Transition Committee Chairmen over non-performance in their respective council areas. Obiokoye who spoke with our correspondent exclusively in his office in Awka, opined that more chairmen maybe evicted from office like those of Ihiala and Awka-North local government areas due to complaints of laxity, non-performance and incompetence.

The Anambra State Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Honourable Ify Obinabo who made this known while speaking with journalists in her office in Awka described the act as illegal act targeted at tarnishing the image of the state government. Yhis was a reaction to a Facebook user narration of how a lady was held hostage at Upper-Iweka area of Onitsha over offence of not putting on bra.
