* Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Mrs Patricia Igwebuike has said that the state is poised to establishing rail transportation to make it a developed nation in another five years’ time. Speaking on Anambra at thirty-two, Mrs Igwebuike rated the state high in the transport sector, after it was carved out from the old Anambra State that included Enugu and Ebonyi States. She said that the state has successfully become intermodal in the sector, having established air, land and water transportation, and with oil and gas deposits.

* A choir competition has been held at Madonna Assumpta Catholic Parish, Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area of Anambra State, in memory of Chief Julius and Lady Agnes Ukoh. The event involved eight parishes, viz: St. Joseph’s Agulu; St. Patrick’s Agulu; St. Matthias Agulu; Madonna AssumptaAgulu; St. John’s Agulu; St. Peter’s Nri; St. Mary’s Nri and St. Joseph’s Nri.

* The Traditional Ruler of Umueri, Igwe Ben Emeka says removal of fuel subsidy has brought serious hardship on everybody but commended President Tinubu for approving the release of such loans to states. He also appreciated Governor Chukwuma Soludo who he said had increased workers’ monthly take home without prompting. Igwe Emeka tasked the state government on equitable distribution of the palliatives to ensure that they get to the less privileged in the society.

* Anambra Assembly Speaker Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Nkemakonam Udeze says the state legislature will continue to enact laws and resolutions aimed at total development of the state as well as the improvement of the living standard of the citizenry. In his goodwill message to Governor Chukwuma Soludo and ndi Anambra on behalf of the state legislature on the thirty- second anniversary of creation of the state, Rt. Hon.Udeze noted that though the state had recorded successes at different times in the past, the present Soludo administration has within one year and five months in office, recorded more meaningful achievements in all sectors of the state economy.

* The first daughter of Anambra State Governor, Miss. 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗦𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗱𝗼 has been engaged to her heart-throb simply known as 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘇𝗲. 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗼𝗿𝗮 shared photos from the romantic proposal on Instagram with the caption “𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙤𝙬 𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙤𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙚 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙢𝙮 𝙡𝙞𝙛𝙚,”.

* The Anambra state government through Anambra Small Business Agency (ASBA) has introduced a soft business loan package to workers within the state to cushion the harsh economic realities in the nation occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy. This was disclosed during a sensitization meeting organised by the agency held at the office of the Head of Service hall, Chief Jerome Udorji Secretariat Complex, Awka.

* The Commissioner of Police Anambra State CP Aderemi Adeoye has congratulated Governor, Chukwuma Soludo and the good people of Anambra State on the 32nd Anniversary of the Creation of the State. The Commissioner in his congratulatery message noted that despite herculean challenges, the State has fared well in the comity of States in the Country. Adeoye commended the Citizens for being peace loving and law abiding and urge them to continue to uphold their reputation as hardworking and industrious people.

* Following the successful completion of his first tenure, the members of the Non-Academic Staff Union of Educational and Associated Institutions (NASU), Anambra State Council, have unanimously re-elected Comrade (Sir) Humphrey Nwafor for another four years in office. Sir Nwafor who was returned unopposed during the 9th Quadrennial Delegates Conference/Election held at NULGE House, Awka, Anambra State Capital, is currently the Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Anambra State Chapter.

* As Anambra State marks thirty-two years of creation, Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Hon Ify Obinabo has congratulated Governor Chukwuma Soludo for all the policies aimed at total development of the state as well as the improvement of the living standards of the citizenry. In her goodwill message to Mr Governor and Ndi Anambra, Obinabo noted that though the state had recorded successes at different times in the past, there is every hope that the present Soludo administration will record far meaningful achievements.

* The President General of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Barr. Titus Akpudo has lauded the Governor of Anambra State Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for prudent and transparent manner in which his administration is running the state. Akpudo called on communities to provide all needed information to benefit from the palliative as soon as the distribution commences.
