* Anambra State Police Command has commended residents of the state for their supportive role to the command by way of furnishing it with reliable intelligent information. The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Mr Tochukwu Ikenga gave the commendation while speaking in his office at Amawbia, Awka South council area.

* Celebrity Anambra native doctor Chukwu Dozie Nwangwu popularly know as Akwa Okuku Tiwara Aki is set for church thanksgiving service in appreciation to God almighty after his release from Kidnappers den. The thanksgiving service will hold at an Anglican Church in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State as he returns the glory back to almighty God.

The elder statesman who bared his mind on national issues, however maintained that the release of Nnamdi Kanu is long overdue.

* The Anambra State Joint Transport Forum has rejected the setting up of a new revenue enforcement team known as Unified High Breed Enforcement Team ( UHBET) describing its members as re baptized set of touts who have been ripping off transporters in the past. The Unified High Breed Enforcement Team UHBET was set up and inaugurated by the Special Adviser to the governor on Security, Air Vice Marshall Chiobi and Acting Chairman Anambra Internal Revenue Services Dr Greg Ezeilo collect taxes from transporters.

* Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, Director Army Public Relations, Nigeria Army has revealed that a joint security operatives have sacked hoodlums known as unknown gunmen in a camp in Anambra. Nwachukwu in a press release said that the camp, which is inside a forest in an Anambra community, Orsumoghu, Nnewi South Local Government Area was invaded by the operatives on Monday.

* The Anambra State Commissioner for Industry, Christian Udechukwu, has said that the state government has restored order across the state. According to the Commissioner, the Anambra Ministry of Industry has worked out modalities for the top one hundred industries in Anambra, to export to fifty-four African countries.

* Residents of Onitsha on Wednesday went about their normal businesses in defiance to a two weeks sit-at-home order by Simon Ekpa, a factional leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). Ekpa, who is based in Finland and claimed to be IPOB prime minister, had in a video message ordered all residents of the South East to stay home for two weeks, as a protest to push for the release IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu by the Federal Government.

* Awka Capital Territory Development Authority (ACTDA) has commenced the construction of internal roads within Umuokpu Awka Building Materials Market. According to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Agency, Mr Ossy Onuko, the idea of regenerating the Umuokpu Market is to create an enabling environment for traders in that line of business, and in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s directive that all building material traders should relocate to the market designated for such trade.

* The Commissioner of Police Anambra State Command CP Aderemi Adeoye has visited two police operatives, who sustain injuries on monday 31st July during a Joint Security Force onslaught against insurgents in a criminal camp at Orsumoghu. ANN gathered that the visit is to boost the morale and spur Officers to greatness while discharging their statutory duties with the assurance that, their welfare is of paramount importance to the leadership of the Force.
