* Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR has congratulated Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, wife of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, former Biafra leader on the occasion of her 56th birthday anniversary. Soludo commended her dedication, hard work and selfless service as the Secretary to the Professor Chidi Odinkalu-led Truth, Justice and Peace Committee.

* A detachment of Police-led Forward Operating Base at Aguata while on patrol at Uga – Ezinifite Expressway in Anambra state have recovered two pump action guns and a Mercedes SUV.
ANN gathered that the police officers saw an SUV drive past at a terrible speed. Suspecting that they may be kidnappers with an abducted victim, the team went in pursuit.

* Mrs. Nonye Soludo, wife of the Governor of Anambra State during the weekend witnessed corrective surgeries on four infants with cleft lips and palates at the General Hospital, Umueri, Anambra East Local Government Area. Mrs Soludo says the ongoing treatments for people with cleft lips and palates in Anambra State is aimed at giving children the pride and confidence to reach their dreams.

* The Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has extended his warmest congratulations to Most Rev. Dr. Chibuzo Alexander Ibezim on the occasion of his 61st birthday. Ibezim is the Archbishop of the Province of Niger, Church of Nigeria and Bishop of Awka Diocese. * The Chairperson of Police Officers Wives Association (POWA) Anambra State Chapter, Mrs Bolanle Adeoye has led her executive in the to a courtesy visit to the State Commissioner of Police. The Chairperson who congratulated the Commissioner on his posting to Anambra, one of the most vibrant States in the country, pledged the support of POWA in tackling the security challenges facing the State.

* The Transition Committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi has urged women to build good homes to reduce the rate of vices plaguing the society. Hon. Obi made the statement when she joined umu nwanyi Ojoto in their August meeting, noting that it will contribute to sustainable development.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reassured ndi IgboUkwu that he would attend to other bad roads in the area after the initial roads under construction are completed. Soludo while congratulating Dr. Greg Ugochukwu Ezeilo on his title taking ceremony into the prestigious Nze na Ozo Society of IgboUkwu, disclosed that he had just returned from a meeting in Abuja and a traditional marriage of Chief Emeka Anyaoku’s son, and that he was happy to attend the ceremony to felicitate with a friend and associate on his special day.

* The federal government of Nigeria has effected work on the vandalized portions of the Second Niger Bridge. The bridge had two month ago been discovered to have been vandalized, with criminals making away with some metals covering sensitive parts of the bridge. However, Anambra State Police commissioner, CP Aderemi Adeoye, who led a team of policemen to patrol the bridge stated that the vandalized portions have been fixed by the federal ministry of works.

* An Anambra based Lawyer and security expert, Mr Christopher Enemuo has stated the reason ex militant leader, Alhaji Asari Dokubo has not been arrested for brandishing prohibited fire arm was because he seems to be enjoying the support of President Bola Tinubu.

Enemuo, in a an article titled: Regulating The Participatory Industries In Nigeria: Case of Asari and his Militants, stated that it was not a surprise that instead of Asari to be arrested for brandishing arms and making threats, we was rather rewarded with a meeting wiuth Mr President at the presidential villa.

* An outfit in charge of environmental protection in Anambra State, the Ocha Brigade, has vowed to recover the state environment from the hands of the people polluting the state by invoking sections of the state laws against any offender caught in the act. This was disclosed by the Managing Director of the agency, Comrade Celestine Anere who also stated that Operation Keep the State Clean and Healthy remains a task that must be participatory by everyone.
