* The Anambra State Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance Chief. Ifeatu Obi-Okoye has commended Chief Sir Emeka Offor for Electric Meter Manufacturing Factory built in the State. Obi-Okoye hailed Sir Emeka Offor for such investment, noting that the investment will trigger economic growth in the State.
* Anambra state Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachuwu Ibezim has advised youths to take part in sporting activities as it will not only keep them healthy but also provides employment opportunities. The Deputy Governor gave the advice while flagging off the ongoing Solution Inter-ward APGA football tournament at Otuocha Stadium, Aguleri Anambra East Local Government Area. Ibezim who restated the commitment of Professor Chukwuma Soludo administration towards meaningfully engaging the youths, emphasized the need for the youths in the state to embrace the opportunities made available.
* Anambra State Commissioner for Works, Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma has inspected the three ongoing road projects in Nnewi North. Starting from Bank Road which was commenced few weeks ago, the entourage also inspected the Okpuneze Junction to Nnewi Hotel and that of Isaho to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital permanent site. ANN reports that Okoma was accompanied by the Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Engr Chris Obiorah and other stakeholders from the area.

has inaugurated civil servants cooperative society. Speaking during the event, the Managing Director of ASBA, Sir Clem Chukwuka said that the solution soft loan for civil servants is a life saver, noting that the loan which was only 9percent interest rate as against 25percent interest rate loans which workers access from other financial companies and banks.
* Commissioner for Youth Development Honourable Patrick Aghamba says the achievements and impact of the ministry this year 2023 is obvious stating that next years budget is realistic and achievable. Speaking in an interview after the 2024 budget defense before the Anambra assembly committee on Finance and Appropration chaired by Hon. Ejike Okechukwu and committee on Youth and Sports chaired by Hon. Augustine Ike, the commissioner said through one youth, two skills the government has made the beneficiaries to be self reliant.
* Anambra State government through the Women and Social Welfare Ministry headed by Honourable Ify Obinabo has trained more than seventy selected women for Microfinance seed grant in Awka. ANN reports that the training was done in collaboration with the Anambra Women United Chicago USA as a means of empowering and contributing to the well-being of humanity by focusing on disadvantaged women and children in the society. Speaking during the event, the Honourable Commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Honourable Obinabo charged the beneficiaries to make good use of the grant and save properly in order to be able to return it as at when due.
* Anambra Football Association Chairman General Chikelue Iloenyosi has received the award for the Best Football Administrator of the year 2023 by the Anambra State Association of Town Unions (ASATU) in a ceremony held at the Associations’ Secretariat in Awka.
* In a shocking incident that unfolded on Saturday in Awka, the capital of Anambra state, over 10 officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) launched a brutal attack on journalist Izunna Okafor, accusing the media of being part of Nigeria’s problems. ANN gathered that the journalist was in the same bus with the Civil Defence officials, who were conveyed together with him from Awka to the venue of the Anambra South Rally of the Soludo Ambassadors, which held at Nnewi; while the same bus (provided by the organizers of the event) also conveyed them back to Awka.
* A community leader in Nri, Anaocha LGA of Anambra State, Chief Moses Enujiugha, has expressed optimism that the budget of four hundred and ten billion naira presented to the state assembly by Governor Chukwuma Soludo will help his administration sustain the “One youth two skills” empowerment programme, massive construction of roads across the state, and improvement in healthcare service delivery.
Speaking in Awka, Enujiugha specifically noted that the youth empowerment programme is a bold step in addressing insecurity, unemployment and youth restiveness.
