* Police Operatives attached to the Special Anti-Cultism Squad Enugu-Ukwu swiftly acted on information provided by the suspect (Miracle) in custody over the case of armed robbery and kidnapping where a ransom of fifteen million naira was collected and the victim’s vehicle was recovered, arrested Ebuka Ndubusi aged 29 years at Obosi, Idemili North.

Recall the Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam directed immediate action on the already planned arrest of Ebuka when he was mentioned in his role about the victim’s vehicle.

Anambra State Command, the Investigation is still ongoing and further development shall be communicated, please.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo of has emphasized the importance of unity among all progressives in Nigeria.

This call was made during the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) held at the party’s headquarters in Abuja.

The NEC meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including the APGA National Chairman, Chief Sly Ezeokenwa, the Hon Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and APGA Board of Trustees member, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, and the immediate past National Chairman of APGA, Ozonkpu Victor Ike Oye.

During the meeting, Chief Ezeokenwa commended the Nigerian Judiciary, the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for their commitment to upholding the rule of law and constitutional democracy. He also praised Governor Soludo for his leadership and unwavering support throughout the party’s recent legal battles.

* The Local Government Chairmen of Njikoka Hon. Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba has embarked on an inspection of roads within the council area.

Ononiba while speaking at the
inspection of the Ezicheke, Abagana to Ekeudo Nimo road, stated that it is part of a broader effort to attract the attention of the Anambra State government, with the ultimate goal of reconstructing the road.

“Professor Chukwuma Soludo has been working tirelessly to improve the lives of ndi Anambra, and am optimistic that the Governor will provide support to the people of Njikoka. The road in question connects Abagana and Nimo, making it a vital artery for the local community.

* The Chairman of Idemili South LGA, Hon Amaka Obi, has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for commencing the construction of 4.56 km Azigbo-Awka Etiti-Amichi-Onuselogu roads in the state.

The Mayor gave the commendation at the council headquarters, Ojoto on Wednesday, commended the governor for awarding the age long roads project and also for wiping the tears of the people of the area.

While speaking on the importance of the roads project, said: will enhance connectivity, facilitate economic growth and improve the quality of life for the residents.

She urged the people of the area to reciprocate the love shown to the communities by the governor by supporting all the programmes and policies of his administration.

* There is growing confusion over the suggestion by Senator Ali Ndume that the senatorial seat of the late Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah should be filled by his widow, Mrs. Uchenna Ubah.

The Kinsmen said that she should be allowed to mourn her late husband for at least three months. They contended that the widow should not be dragged into politics and must be given time to mourn her husband.

Earlier, Ubah’s widow had turned down the offer, but it has since emerged that some community members have been pressuring her to contest in the bye-election for the Anambra South Senatorial District.

 

* In a recent statement, at the 228th regular meeting of senate, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph Ikechebelu, expressed his commitment to rebuilding Nnamdi Azikiwe University and restoring its former glory.

Prof. Ikechebelu reiterated His profound gratitude to the Visitor to the University, His Excellency and the President of the Federation Ahmed Tinubu on his swift and decisive intervention on the Leadership crisis that recently engulfed the University.

Professor Ikechebelu, also in the same vein, expressed great appreciation to the Minister of Education , NUC,ASSU national and ASSU NAU chapter, including the Alumni association of the University, the Media and the host of well meaning Nigerians who contributed in one way or the other in ensuring that justice reigned supreme and normalcy returned to the this great citadel of learning that bears the name of the Legendary Zik of Africa.

 

* The Chairman of Onitsha South Local Government Area, Chief Emeka Orji, has evacuated the refuse dumped at the bank of River Niger, on Niger Street, Fegge, a proposed site for recreation centre.

The Mayor frowning at the mountain of refuse at the site, admonished the residents to refrain from the act, saying that in no distant time the area would be a leisure and entertainment centre.

Orji reiterated his resolve to restore the lost glory of Onitsha in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration to better the welfare of the people, emphasising that Onitsha must be a liveable and peaceful area.

* Barr. Chinedu Dominic Ononiba, Mayor of Njikoka LGA has congratulated Hon. Mark Okoye on his appointment as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the South East Development Commission (SEDC).

This prestigious appointment was made by His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR.

Hon. Mark Okoye has an impressive track record of public service, having served as a Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in the immediate-past administration in Anambra State. He also served as a Senior Special Assistant to the governor, earning his place as one of the youngest political appointees in Anambra’s history.

The South East Development Commission (SEDC) aims to promote dynamic infrastructural development and sustainable economic growth in the South East region. The commission will also address the appalling legacies of the Nigerian Civil War, tackle emerging challenges, and lay the roadmap for a more secure and prosperous future for the South East.

* Anambra State Commissioner of Police CP Nnaghe Obono Itam has charge various vigilantee groups to work hand in hand with the police in the region inorder to ensure positive results at all time.

CP Itam while speaking during his visit in
Nnewi North Council Chambers to interface with the security operatives and stakeholders ahead of the Yuletide Celebrations, thanked the Mayor for the good works he is doing in Nnewi North especially in the areas of security which is the primary responsibility of every government

The Commissioner of Police said the essence of the visit is to interface with sister security agencies in order to flush out all the remaining criminal elements within the metropolis.

Receiving the Commissioner of Police, the Local Government Chairman Hon. Echezona Anazodo eulogized the commissioner for this wonderful visit narrating his collaborative efforts towards ensuring a water tight security in Nnewi North.

* Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Patrick Agha Mba has said that one House, two skills
programme of Obosi Community, which is targeted at human capital development is worth emulating.

The Youth Commissioner said this at the graduation ceremony of the 300 persons, who graduated from different skills under the one House two Skills Programme.

According to Agha Mba, the programme is not just an empowerment programme, but it is also a project that is worth emulating by the other communities in Anambra State.

The Commissioner also said that he will speak to other Presidents General (PGs) of the other communities to do likewise.
