* Anambra Elite Trader’s Forum (AETF) has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his quick response to their clarion call by reversing the haulage fees chargeable, and directed the enforcers to revert to the old rates. The traders in their appreciation letter signed by Chikeluba Odiche and Michael Nwangwu, stated: “We write your highly esteemed office to appreciate His Excellency for the excellent job being done in Anambra State. We, the citizens, can feel the impact of His Excellency’s policies.

* The Presidential Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ashiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu has promised ndi Anambra that he will turn the state into an industrial hub. Ashiwaju Tinubu made the remark during the APC Presidential Rally at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square, Awka on Tuesday. He promised to combat the gully erosion threat that is destroying communities in the state in particular and the Eastern region in general. The APC Presidential flag bearer also described Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo as a visionary, a brilliant man, and a thinker who knows the way.

* Former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, will grant unconditional release to detained leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, if he emerges president on May 29, says his campaign director, Chief Obiora Okonkwo. According to Okonkwo, the appellate court was very explicit that Kanu should be a free man and no court could try him again for the alleged offence. The PDP chieftain also disclosed that one of Atiku’s key programmes would be to “instil permanent peace” in parts of the country, especially the South East region.

* Anambra State Government has reminded the Managers of the various parks across the state of the need to pay up their fees and arrears to the government as they are expected to do periodically. This reminder was contained in a final Letter of Reminder issues to the managers of the parks by the Anambra State Internal Revenue Service (AIRS), duly signed by the Chairman/Chief Executive of the Service, Richard Madiebo, and made available to the newsmen by the Head of Tax Education and Enlightenment Team (TEET), Sylvia Tochukwu-Ngige.

* Nnamdi Azikiwe University students were left stranded at Alex Ekwueme Square, where they were making calls to the Student Union Government (SUG) president, over their mobilization fee after the All Progressive Congress (APC) rally. “Our leader told us to wait, and we thought he was going to bring money, but up till now, we have not seen him.” the students lamented

* Anambra state Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, has charged communities across the state to live in peace, love and avoid having issues of land dispute, noting that the Governor Prof Charles Soludo led administration is committed to implementing a disruptive change in providing security of lives and properties in the state. Speaking when he paid an unannounced visit to the disputed expanse of land that has pitched Abba, Ukpo and Ukwulu against each other for decades, Ibezim,  who is the chairman of the state Boundary Committee, stated that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has charged the committee to be proactive in land dispute to avoid escalation that may lead to destruction of properties or even loss of lives, even as he pleaded for calm while the committee expedite action toward achieving a permanent resolution of the issue in question

* The Presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Ahmed Bola Tinubu stormed Anambra, urging the electorate to massively vote for him in the February 2023 poll. ” I will create jobs for youth. I will make your life better. My administration will help secure your future, and make your investments 100% better. Anambra State is an industrialized State. I will support your state to realise her industrialisation status. This is the state where people can turn different auto spare parts into good use, Tinubu said.

*The women of Ifitedunu and Ukpo communities came out in there numbers to witness the endorsement of all APGA candidates for Senate, House of Reps and House of Assembly. The constituents wholeheartedly endorsed Hon Chuks Azotani, Hon Pete Ibida and Hon Dozie Nwankwo*. They handsomely acknowledged the leadership and vision of APGA as a party with politics of development as the center of her policies, projects and programmes.
