* A High Court sitting in Ogidi Judicial division has barred Anambra State government from interfering in the leadership of Nawfia community in Njikoka Local Government Area of the state. The court presided over by Hon Justice E.I Ndigwe in a judgement in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area condemned the Anambra State government for interfering in the leadership of the community, by removing an elected executive, and inaugurating a caretaker executive. The judge while delivering judgement on the matter also awarded a cost of N5million against the Anambra State government for arbitrary action.

* The First Lady of Anambra State Mrs. Nonye Soludo has condemned the violent abuse of a child by her guardian at G.R.A, Onitsha. Mrs Soludo while reacting to a viral video of a girl between the age of ten years, who appeared with gory iron-stamp burns all over her body, vows to follow up the case until justice is served. Angel Network News gathered that Mrs Adachukwu Okafor the alleged culprit, is said to be living with the maid at her Akpaka, 33 G.R.A, Onitsha residence, and got enraged when the maid, who was giving her child a bath, mistakenly touched his private part.

* The Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Mr ThankGod Anago has restated the commitment to developing the standard of education in the council area. Mr. Anago who also said that he would do everything within his powers to protect and promote law and order in the council are was speaking at the burial service of his mother, the Late Mrs Ezinne Florence Uduafor Anago at St Stephen’s Anglican Church, Mgbakwu, Awka North Council Area.

* The ANAYD two day nonresidential training for health workers on inclusivity has ended in Awka with a call on government to provide adolescents and young persons in their diversities a youth friendly health centers across local government areas. Participants and stakeholders at the training workshop agreed that provision of such facilities will help reduce stigmatization, improve acceptance,. adherence, status disclosure, mental health state and access to health care.

* The Managing Director, Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra, OCHA Brigade, Comrade Celestine Anere has urged staff of the agency to be physically, mentally and emotionally stable to enhance their productivity. Anere gave this call during an endurance walk as one of their one week training module. The endurance walk took off from NYSC orientation camp at Umuawulu-Mbaukwu through Ifite-Nibo, Link road, Awka, Nkwor Amaenyi down, Eke-Awka, to Governor’s lodge Amawbia, and back to NYSC orientation camp at Umuawulu-Mbaukwu.

* Former Deputy Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, DCP David Iloyanomon has been promoted to police commissioner.
Iloyanomon was decorated at Abuja today at the Louis Edet House by very senior police officers. A press release made available to Angel Network News showed his profile since his enlistment in the force, and some of his achievements.

* The Transition Chairman of Anaocha Local Government Hon Gerald Ikechukwu Ozoh has distributed rice to all Soludo supports groups in Anaocha LGA. Addressing the groups at Anaocha secretariat headquarter Neni, the council Chairman lauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his good heart and care for the well-being of the people, reciprocating solution movements down to grassroots level. He also acknowledged the support groups for their continuous commitments to the goal, while charging them to gear up their dedication towards ensuring party victory in advance.

* The father of Tania Okpala,the Nigerian born ex-US based Tennis champion , has appreciated the government of Anambra State for rescuing and rehabilitating his daughter. Mr Joel Okpala, whose daughter was recently rescued by the Anambra state government has expressed gratitude towards the positive development. Mr Okpala made the commendation while interacting with the commissioner for women and social welfare Anambra State, Ify Obinabo.

* Anambra State Ministry of Power and Water Resources has re-assured its commitment in helping the administration of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo to succeed in achieving its vision for the state and its citizens.
The State’s Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engr. Julius Chukwuemeka, gave the assurance while receiving, on behalf of his Ministry, the newly renovated Agulu Fire Station in Anaocha Local Government Area of the State, which was renovated to standard with touch of modernity by the Soludo Administration and handed over to the Ministry.

* Anambra State House of Assembly has asked the Transition Chairman of Onitsha South Mr. Emeka Orji and the Commissioner of Environment Engr. Felix Udomegwu to come for questioning on Tuesday February 6th 2024 to clearify alligations brought against them.
