* Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has directed the Attorney General of the State to call for and review all case files with allegations of human rights abuses handled by Police Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo, and the Rapid Response Squad (RRS), Awkuzu.

Governor Soludo made the call following viral pieces of information on alleged illegal detention, kidnapping, extrajudicial killing and human organ harvesting by a squad of key officers of both formations.

* The Anambra State All Progressive Congress (APC), presidential campaign coordinator, Senator Mrs Margrey Okadigbo, has charged APC women in the state to intensify door-to-door mobilisation to woo voters as part of the strategies to deliver the candidate of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Okadigbo gave the charge in Awka at the interactive session with all the APC women leaders across wards and local government in the state.

*  Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo has inspected the level of work at the on-going nine roads in Okpoko, Ogbaru local government area. The nine roads measuring 14.053 kilometres; dual carriage of 2.884 kilometres and Single Carriage of 8.28 kilometers include Obodoukwu-Owerri Road, Ogbuagu-Mgbuka Road, Edeh-School Rd-Awalite-Ojoto-Owerri Road and School Rd-Umuobom-Ojoto. Others are; Umuobom-AdaziAni Street-Owerri Road, Umunweke Street-Umeojiako Street Road, Awalite Street-Anumudu Mgbuka Amazu Road, Uzi Street-Mission Street Road and Anumudu Street-GMO Road.

* Ndi Aguata have endorsed APGA National and State Assembly candidates in the upcoming contests. The candidates endorsed were Hon Chris Azubogu for Anambra South Senate, Engr Dom Okafor for Aguata Federal House of Representatives, Hon Anayo Okpalaeke for Aguata One and Hon Tony Muobike for Aguata Two seat in the Anambra State House of Assembly. The endorsement came from critical stakeholders including traditional rulers and presidents-general of communities in the area, the Aguata Elders Forum, leaders of women and youth groups in Aguata among others.

* The chairman of Electrical/Electronics Market, Nnewi, Prince Iloka Somadina, has accused a business man and contractor, Prince Chinedu Orizu; as well as the officials of Nzukora-Nnewi and the Uruagu Nnewi Development Union of collecting revenues that accrues to the state government thereby, sabotaging government efforts to raise its revenue profile. In a press conference in Nnewi,  Prince Somadina claimed that the trio have made every effort by the market to raise revenue for Anambra government difficult, and unrealistic.

* Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo has tasked the contractor handling the 7.8 kilometres Achina-Onneh-Agbudu-Ogboji road on speedy completion of the project. Governor Soludo who stated this during the official flag-off of the road construction, emphasized that the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA is the identity of Ndigbo.

* The Managing Director of Anambra Broadcasting Service, Sir. Chido Obidiegwu has urged politicians to showcase high levels of maturity and shun politics of bitterness and rancour as they go to the polls on Saturday. Sir Chido gave the advice during the 2023 Anambra Political Dialogue; the Mace Debate, jointly organised by Nigerian Union of Journalists, Anambra State Council and Radio Television Theatre and Art Workers Union, in collaboration with Society for Equity, Justice and Peace and Bring It on Africa, at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Centre, Awka.

* The royal cabinet of Enugwu-Ukwu community, Njikoka Local Government Area has resolved to back the senatorial ambition of one of their sons, Honorable Dozie Nwankwo. The cabinet noted that the legislative blueprint of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Senatorial candidate for Anambra Central senatorial zone promises a brighter future for the community and the senatorial district at large.

* The Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has commended the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, for setting up a special investigation panel to investigate the allegations against some senior police officers serving at the Zone 13 Command, Ukpo-Dunukofia, and the Anambra State Police Command. Soludo urged members of the public to be patient while awaiting the outcome of the investigations which is expected soonest.

* Police Operatives attached to 3-3 Police Divisional Headquarters, Nkwelle-Ezunaka, Oyi LGA of Anambra state foiled an attack by IPOB/ESN Insurgents on the police facility, neutralized six of the Insurgents, recovers two Ak47 rifles, one Toyota Sienna vehicle with Reg No Abuja ABC 848 EQ, charms and other incriminating items. DSP Ikenga Tochukwu, PRO Anambra State Police Command in a release made available to ANN stated that the outlawed IPOB/ESN Insurgents came in their numbers with two SUV vehicles and one Toyota Sienna, armed with guns, IEDs and petrol bombs

* Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu has ended his tour of the 22 Communities in Dunukofia, Njikoka and Anaocha Federal Constituency with a triple stop at Nimo, Enugwu-Ukwu and Ifitedunu where these communities  unanimously declared to mobilize electorates and massively vote for him to represent DNA Federal Constituency in the National Assembly come this Saturday, February 25th, 2023. 

* Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has described education as the future that should not be toyed with. Soludo was speaking during the 27 years celebration of the existence of Holy Child Catholic Church, Isuofia under the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulọbịa, Aguata Council Area. According to Governor Soludo, he indulges in education support, not to receive praises but as a way of thanking God for His benevolence.
