* Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo has inspected three select roads in Onitsha. The roads are; Akpaka Road (2.896Km), Federal Housing Link Road (972m), Spur to 3-3, Male Hostel Drive (585m). Also inspected was the 3.341 km Akpaka-Nsugbe Road. Rehabilitation and reconstruction of the roads is being handled by Tec Engineering Nigeria LTD.

* The Anambra state Deputy Governor, Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim has called on warring communities in the state to sheath their swords and give peace a chance for the actualization of the developmental agenda of the Professor Chukwuma Soludo led administration. The Deputy Governor made the call during a peace talk with Omor and Anaku communities, both in Ayamelum Local Government Area, over an age-long boundary dispute which has claimed many lives and properties. 

* Anambra Central Anglican Youths Unity Cup , a tournament sponsored by Hon Dozie Nwankwo, the Candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) for Anambra Central senatorial district, has come to an end. Njikoka team who won the competition, defeated the six other local governments.

* The Senator representing Anambra Central Senatorial District, Uche Ekwunife, Ph.D has commissioned the skills acquisition centre she attracted to Egwegwe village, Nimo in Njikoka LGA of Anambra State. Commissioning the facility, Ekwunife noted that skill acquisition is one of the cardinal projects of the Federal Government and due to the paucity of government jobs, youths are encouraged to engage in skill acquisition for substance. The Federal Lawmaker encouraged the youths of Nimo and Anambra Central in general to make proper use of the facility to achieve the aim of the project.

* ADC candidate for Dunukofia/Njikoka/Anaocha DNA federal constituency, Sir Onyebuchi James Okpala, JP (Ike Agulu) has continued to tour different towns in DNA seeking for people’s support and votes come February 25th Elections. In his message, Ike Agulu explained to the electorate the importance of coming out enmass to vote on the day of the election, urging them to shun vote buying and cast their votes for only credible candidates, who have the capacity to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia federal constituency.

* Professor Chukwuma Soludo administration’s determination to transform the sports sector and human capital development has recorded massive boost as the Anambra state government recently signed a sports marketing partnership deal worth N1.5 billion with Brunnuel and Winston Ltd. ANN reports that Chairman of the Anambra Sports Development Commission, Chief Patrick-Estate Onyedum, who signed on behalf of the state stated that Brunnuel and Winston is a financial consulting firm that will drive the Anambra Solution Sports Initiative (AnSSI).

* Anambra State Police command, Military and other security agencies have embark on a show of force in demonstration of readiness and the assurance of protection of lives and properties, maintenance of law and order by improved personnel deployment and positioning of security forces to attend to security requests ahead, during and after the 2023 General Elections in the state. The Show of Force led by the Commissioner of Police CP Echeng Echeng had the Military, Navy, DSS, the Nigeria Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety, Immigration Service and other sister agencies in the convoy.

* Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, the APGA Senatorial Candidate for Anambra North, stormed her hometown to once again seek partnership with the youths of the community in a social contract set to be sealed on Saturday, 25th February, 2023. While addressing the large audience, Osodieme promised that her legislature will be youth-friendly and empowering through allocation of federal jobs, youth empowerment programs, MSME loans, education support programs, among others.

*  Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Awka South 2 Constituency (Obizi) in the forthcoming House of Assembly election, Barr. Ifedi Josiah, has affirmed he will be accountable, available, and maintain close communication with his constituents if elected. He made the pledge on Monday, February 20, 2023, during the Obizi Youth Interactive Session held at Civic Center Nibo. The intending lawmaker, while speaking at the event vowed to offer good representation and legislation if given the mandate in the forthcoming election. 

* The PDP senatorial candidate for Anambra South, Chief Chris Uba continues to engage voters and gain grounds in the Old Aguata area of Anambra State comprising Orumba North and South, as well as Aguata Local Government. Chief Uba consulted with past President-General of the area comprising all local governments in the area  created out of the former Aguata Local Government. In addition, he met with youths in the area. In all engagements, Chief Chris Uba outlined his political experiences and assured all of his capacity to attract the best for the zone.

* The member representing Nnewi North/Nnewi South/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Chris Azubogu has denied kneeling down before his constituents to apologise to them for his poor representation and underperformance in his almost 12 years in office as their representative. A video started trending on social media, alleging that the Nnewi-born Reps member knelt before the residents of Umudim Nnewi when he visited them on a community tour, and allegedly started begging them to forgive him “for not representing them well by bringing home any project throughout his 12 years in office.”

* Three persons have been declared missing after attending a church program in Anambra State. The missing persons, identified as Okafor Chukwukannene (aged 37), Onyedika Odubulu (aged 24), and Umeh Obumneme (aged 22) were said to have been abducted by the rampaging unknown gunmen along the Ihiala-Orsumoghu-Ukpor Road as they were returning from a prayer convention organised by the Jehovah’s Witnesses at Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area of the state.
