* The Transition Committee Chairman of Ayamelum Local Government Area, Honourable Livinus Onyenwe, says Governor Chukwuma Soludo-led administration is open to collaborations that would impact Ndị Anambra positively at all times. Onyenwe made this known when he received the Agricultural Transformation Agenda Support Programme Phase one ATASP-I in his office recently.

* The Transition Committee Chairman of Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Mr Chimezie Obi, says Governor Chukwuma Soludo places high premium on health care delivery. Speaking at Ozubulu, the headquarters of Ekwusigo Local Government Area when he enrolled all the security men in the local government area in the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme, Mr Obi described the scheme as a well thought out health programme of the Anambra State Government aimed at giving the people of Anambra State efficient, effective, accessible and affordable healthcare services

 

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has directed Anambra State security agencies to take immediate and decisive action by apprehending the killers of Mr. Silas Onyima, President-General (PG) of Umuoji Community in Idemili North Local Government Area which occurred on Friday night. Soludo who received with deep concern and immense sadness the news of the brutal assassination, urged security agencies to ensure prosecution of the culprits to deter future recurrences. 

* The Obi of Eziora Ozubulu,  Chief Nnamdi Ezeani and all his Aka Obi cabinet chiefs including Obi of Egbema Ozubulu, Chief Sylvester Ilona have joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance Party, APGA. They officially joined the party during her rally held at the Eze Odenigbo Palace, Eziora Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Council Area. Also, Bishop Emma Ezeani in charge of all Sabbath Churches in Ekwusigo alongside others numbering over three hundred declared for APGA during the rally. 

* The Governor of Anambra State, Professor  Chukwuma Soludo says his administration commenced work in Okpoko to demonstrate commitment to the well-being of the poor, the downtrodden and the  forgotten in the state.

Soludo was speaking during an unscheduled inspection visit to Okpoko in Ogbaru Local Government Area. The Governor assured that by the time his government rounded off its projects in the area, street lights, pipe-borne water, general hospital, among other amenities will be enjoyed by the people.

* Wife of the governor of Anambra State, Mrs Nonye Soludo has explained that building the best home has to be driven by clear intentions from parents who are willing to work for peace, love, family friendships and harmony. The governor’s wife, who was speaking in Awka, observed that some homes have been infiltrated by wrong social habits because parents who should be guards and teachers of right acts have grown ignorant of their cardinal responsibilities. 

According to Mrs Soludo, parents should see their homes as little heavens, and put in efforts to create environments of harmony and friendship where the children see their parents as their best friends who they can always confide in and lean on. 

* The Ajie Umueri, Chief Uchenna Nnazoba has held the 2024 Ogugu Aro Igbo Cultural festival.

The cultural festival lined up with four days activities held at Obuga Mmanoma Nneyi Umueri, attracted Igbo traditionalists from within and outside the community. The Ogugu Aro or Igu Aro is one of the oldest surviving Igbo cultural festivals in Igbo land particularly in Umueri, heralding the beginning of the year for Ndigbo.

* Founder of the non-governmental crusade, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, has announced plans to launch healthy living clubs in primary schools in the state. Mrs Soludo, who will officially perform the launching, stated that her NGO is also building effective collaborations with critical stakeholders to universalize the healthy living programme roadmap.

Anambra governor’s wife Mrs Soludo, who stated this while speaking with the press in Awka, explained that her plan was to inculcate the philosophy of the campaign in the heart of every pupil in Anambra State, and empower them to lead the movement from their early ages. 

* The Anambra state Commissioner for Power and Water Resources, Engineer Julius Chukwuemeka, recently joined other Commissioners and stakeholders in the nation’s water sector at the thirtieth regular meeting of the National Council on Water Resources and Sanitation held in Abuja. The event has its theme as, ‘People, planet and prosperity: Promoting Water Governance for National food security. In his speech during the meeting, Engineer Chukwuemeka, thanked the council for their collaborative efforts in making sure that the country takes advantage of the enormous water sources to fight food insecurity.
