# The twenty beneficiaries of the ‘Aguata Young Farmers Training Tour’ have departed the Chinua Achebe Airport, Umueri, Anambra State to Lagos, as they travel to Songhai Farm, Porto Novo, Republic of Benin.
The hard-working farmers were selected from our communities in Aguata LGA where they are engaging in different kinds of farming – majorly poultry, piggery, fishery and crop farming.
From Lagos, they will be conveyed to Porto Novo, Republic of Benin, by the staff of Songhai Farm as they will engage in three days intensive training at the farm.
The selected farmers will be supported with a business boost of ₦1,000,000 each, upon completion of the training.
# The former Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly, Engr. Humprey Nsofor has thrown his weight behind the amended Electoral Act, which provides for both electronic and manual transmission of election results.

# Chairman of the Anambra State Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Majesty Igwe Chidubem Iweka, has pledged to work towards facilitating the beautiful ‘Igbo Culture protection agenda’ of the frontline Igbo cultural revival movement, Otu Suwakwa Igbo Nigeria.
Igwe Iweka, made the firm pledge in his palace at Obosi in the course of playing host to a high-powered delegation of the globally acclaimed Igbo Culture protection group, initiated by renown Economic Management Authority and University Administrator, Prof Pita Ejiofor, that paid him a courtesy visit.

# The Special Adviser to Governor Charles Soludo on Homeland Security, Ken Emeakayi, has revealed the person behind the detention of the controversial native doctor, Eke-Hit, who has been held since February 2025.
Emeakayi said that contrary to allegations linking him to the continued detention of
Ekene Igboekweze (Eke Hit), the controversial native doctor was not detained because of failure to honour his invitation.
Wife of Ekene Igboekweze, in a fresh emotional video circulating online, has lamented bitterly over what she described as a well-mapped plan to make her husband suffer.
She accused Emeakayi, of intentionally keeping her husband in a detention cell only to punish him without cause.
# The Management of FirstPower Electricity Distribution Company Limited (FPEDL) has received, on a courtesy visit, a delegation from the three constituent villages that make up Ifite Awka, which are Enu-Ifite, Ezinato and Agbana.
The visit held at the FirstPower Corporate Headquarters in Awka, followed a formal request for engagement and inquiry on electricity supply and billing issues affecting customers on the Ifite-Awka Feeder.
The community leaders In their separate speeches, noted that since November 2025, electricity supply on the Ifite-Awka Feeder had dropped significantly from its previous Band A average of 20–24 hours daily to about 10 hours or less.
They expressed concern that despite this decline, electricity bills for December 2025 (covering November consumption) and January 2026 (covering December consumption) were estimated at N148,640.25 and N108,940 respectively, which they said were higher than the N100,219.56 charged during a period of stable Band A supply.

# Chief Ikenna Iyiegbu (Ike Cubana), Anambra-born billionaire business mogul has officially declared his intention to provide what he described as quality representation for the good people of Idemili-North and South federal constituency.
Making the public declaration at a brief ceremony held in his country home Oba, Iyiegbu maintained that Idemili-North and South have no representation at the Green Chambers and that the constituency have been underrepresented in the last three years with no visible federal presence.
Iyiegbu who emphasized that he wants to serve Idemili-North and South at the Federal House of Representatives under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), stressed that Idemili-North and South can not continue to wallow in abysmal representation; hence the constituency deserves a more competent person at the National Assembly.
# Stakeholders of Onitsha Main Market in Anambra state have pleaded to Governor Chukwuma Soludo to consider building extension that would accommodate increasing population of traders instead of demolishing the existing structures.
The stakeholders maintained that demolition of ten thousand shops as the Governor planned would not only throw millions of traders into perpetual frustration but also bring untimely death among the affected and trigger social vices in Anambra State.
Speaking to journalists, stakeholders and traders in the Market suggested what the Governor should do instead of moving ahead with the demolition.
The Chairman of Frontline Bright Street, Onitsha Main Market, Chief Martins Emeronye, who is also a former Chairman of Mandela Square, Onitsha Main Market for the period of fifteen years, opined that if Soludo should go on with the planned demolition, armed robbery, kidnapping and social vices will take over Anambra state.
