* Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has declared that his administration will complete every road project it flagged off in any part of the state. Governor Soludo stated this on Nnobi, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state where he also expressed satisfaction with the level and quality of works done on the Afor Nnobi —Awka Etiti—Ichida —Nkwo Igboukwu road rehabilitation project. According to him, the road, which is a federal road was impassable before his administration decided to use state’s funds to rehabilitate it after having solicited federal government’s intervention on the road with none received, even till date.

* The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Senatoral Candidate for Anambra North District Dr. Chief. Ebelechukwu Obiano (Osodieme) has been assured of Victory at the fourth coming general election. This assurance came from the leaders and residence of Onitsha GRA when they hosted her in a hall meeting.

*The Coordinator, Anambra Joint Enforcement Team, (ANJET), Retired Air Vice Marshal Ben Chiobi says his team will do the needful over the accusations by some traders at New Spare Parts Market, Nkpor, and Ogbo Abada International Market, Onitsha over illegal revenue collection in the state. ANJET is a body charged with the responsibility of stamping out touting in Anambra

* A one-day training on how to create, edit, or improve contents on the Wikipedia, has come to an end in Awka, Anambra State, with a call on the participants to keep contributing to the growth of Wikipedia and its contents. The well-attended event, which held over the weekend, was organised by Wikimedia Anambra Network (WAN), in collaboration with the Nigerian Library Association (NLA), Anambra State Chapter, and Development Initiative for Technology and Empowerment (DITEm).

* Some traders at New Spare Parts Market, Nkpor, and Ogbo Abada International Market, Onitsha, have accused their market leaderships of mindless extortion. The traders at the New Spare Parts Market, Nkpor, including the Secretary of New Parts Landlords/ Shop Owners Association, Comrade Edwin Ibeabuchi, Mr. Ikemelu Igwebike and Mrs. Regina Ezeokafor, informed ANN that the market leadership, under Chief Elieus Umeozor imposed a four thousand naira penalty, just a day after government-approved taxes amounting to seven thousand four hundred naira was announced to them, appealing for reversal.

* The Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo has taken delivery of security and information gadgets donated to the state government by the Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District, Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah. The items included 6000 Streetlights with Surveillance Cameras, 1000 walkie talkies, trained personnel, among others.

* The Member representing Dunukofia Constituency in the Anambra State House of Assembly and the APC Candidate for House of Representatives for DNA Federal Constituency, Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu (Cheleku) has commended the Anambra Traffic Management Agency (ATMA) stating that  it is the most active agency currently in Anambra State. Ezeudu who made the statement during his visit to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the agency, Engr. Emeka Okonkwo (Konti) lauded him for enforcing a workable traffic management system in Anambra State, which has brought back sanity to our roads.

* Unidentified gunmen reportedly murdered a university lecturer, Prof. Anthony Nweke Eze, in Anambra State. The deceased was said to be a former Dean of the Faculty of Education at the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka. According to sources, Prof. Eze was killed in his residence around the Freedom Garden in Ifite, Awka.

* Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has begun moves to solve the housing needs of citizens of the state. The state government signed a public private partnership agreement (PPPA) with seven real estate companies to develop residential estates around the state capital territory.

* Communities in Anambra West local government area of Anambra state who were submerged by the recent flood disaster have received interventions from UNICEF. According to the Enugu Field Officer, Mr. Andy Nwanze, who spoke at Nzam, the headquarters of Anambra west, the relief materials, were water treatment tablets, water, sanitation and Hygiene, Dignity kits, which contains Bucket, gallon, soaps, toothpaste and children’s clothes.
