* The Suspended Traditional ruler of Neni community in Anoacha local government area of Anambra State, His Royal Highness, Igwe Damian Ezeani, has tendered unreserved apology to the State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo over conferment of chieftaincy title on Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and others. Igwe Ezeani, said he did that out of ignorance on Anambra State Traditional Rulers Law 2020 as amended.
* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has mourn the passing away of Rev. Fr. Prof. Stephen Chukwujekwu, who died on December 21st, 2023 at the age of 68 years old. Angel Network News reports that Soludo during his condolence message at the funeral mass held at St. Patrick Cathedral, Awka, described the late priest as a brother, friend, and former colleague, expressing personal and professional grief. While paying his last respect at the funeral mass Soludo urged for adherence to laws and cultural values.
* Member representing Idemili North/South in the National Assembly, Hon. Uche Okonkwo has promised to sustain youth empowerment and development- oriented projects for which his father was known while alive. Hon. Okonkwo who stated this during in an interview said youth empowerment, security and health care services among others would continue to remain a priority throughout his journey at the Green Chamber.
* Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has commended the President General of Anambra State Amalgamated Traders’ Association Chief Humphrey Anuna, for restoring relative peace and increase in the Internally Generated Revenue base of the markets in the State. Angel Network News reports that Governor Soludo made the commendation as Anuna celebrated his one year in office at his Oraeri community, Aguata Local Government Area, adding that it was since the appointment of the PG by the Governor that the traders’ IGR, was increased from N400million annually to N4.5billion.
* Former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Anambra State Signage and Advertising Agency, Dr. Jude Okechukwu Emecheta, has stated that the All Progressives Grand Alliance, must prepare adequately for those he described as political criminals as the 2025 governorship contest beckons. Emecheta, who has been following political developments in the state, maintained that it was no longer news that in every election season, all manner of characters surface to cause confusion and rancour in the polity because they want to muscle political power at all cost.
* The senator representing Anambra South senatorial zone, Ifeanyi Ubah, has hinted that Governor Charles Soludo is jittery about his growing popularity ahead of the 2025 governorship election in the state. Ubah’s declaration followed the controversies that greeted the suspension of the traditional ruler of Neni in Anaocha Local Government Area, HRM Igwe Damian Ezeani, over the conferment of chieftaincy title on the senator.
* The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze has
described the Late Ezinne Grace Obimma as a virtuous woman whose life and times remain a shining example and source of inspiration to many people especially women. Angel Network News reports that the Speaker on behalf of the State Legislature, commiserated with the former Member of Anambra State House of Assembly who represented Oyi Constituency, Hon Charles Obimma, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma and the entire family on the demise of their beloved mother, Ezinne Grace Obimma. In his condolence message, Rt. Hon. Udeze noted that through good deeds, the late Ezinne Grace Obimma impacted positively on the society, expressed satisfaction that she rendered excellent service to God and humanity.
* Nanka Champions League Tournament has come to an end with Nkpor branch emerging the winners of the 2023/2024. Angel Network News reports that Nkpor branch won the keenly contested trophy after defeating Umuahia branch with one goal to nothing.

” The Bishop of Ekwulobia Diocese, Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke has dedicated the Chapel of Adoration at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church Umuonyiba Ufuma. The Chapel was built and donated to the church by Ogbaegwu Jesus and Mary Foundation.
