* The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has lauded the transformative leadership of the Governor of Anambra State Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo as a “miracle worker” who has elevated APGA to a highly coveted brand in the Nigerian political sphere. These remarks were made by Barr. Ezeokenwa during his visit to Chief Inno posh (Isi Ochendo Anaocha) at his ancestral home in Ichida, Anocha LGA of Anambra State.

* The Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress in Anambra State, Arc. Okelo Madukaife has slammed the Basil Ejidike led faction of the party for casting aspersions on the state leader of the party, Sen. Dr. Chris Nwabueze Ngige. Madukaife distanced the party from the utterances made against the former Anambra State Governor, former Senator and two-time Minister of Labour and Employment by the spokesman of Ejidike faction, Mr. Iyke Oliobi.

* The TC Chairman of Awka South LGA, Hon. ThankGod A. Anagor has extends his heartfelt appreciation to one of the philanthropist in Awka South council area, Mr. Tony Ekpe for his act of kindness and support to the state government and the good people of Nise community. Mr. Ekpe has recently led the Nise community into the realm of transformative change to become the visionary architect behind an amirable yet applauded project in Nise—a project that not only reshapes physical landscapes but illuminates the path to progress itself.

* Uruegbe Youth Development Association, UYDA, Umuoji, in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State has re-elected Sir. Mmaduabuchi Onwumelu as the youth leader. Onwumelu an Awka based Journalist polled a total of 95 votes to defeat his closest rival, Comrade Tochukwu Okoji (Future) who polled 79 votes, while Mr Chukwuebuka Egbo polled 9 votes. Sir Onwumelu alongside other newly elected officials would pilot the affairs of the Organization for the next the 3 years.

* Anambra State First Lady Mrs Nonye Soludo says increased awareness and more stakeholder involvement are needed to tackle growing threats of human trafficking. Angel Network News gathered that National Human Trafficking Awareness Day is commemorated on the 11th of January annually to raise awareness on existential threats of the age-long crime and to get more people involved in the fight to defeat it.

The governor’s wife who said that she was hopeful that Anambra State will achieve a zero-count rate of human trafficking, added that plans are on to build a state-of-the art rehabilitation centre where trafficking survivors can be reformed to get back into the society.

* The palace of the traditional ruler of Isseke community in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, Igwe Emmanuel Nnabuife has been burnt down by hoodlums. Isseke is a boarder community, which shares boundaries with Imo state but because of constant gunmen attact, some traditional rulers in Ihiala local government area live outside their domains because of insecurity. Angel Network News reports that the traditional ruler of Isseke who confirmed the incident to Journalists lamented that the entire palace was burnt down by the unidentified hoodlums.

* Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo has restated his commitment towards consolidating on achievements recorded in security of life and property. Soludo was speaking while commiserating with Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Obimma, popularly known as “Fada Ebube Muonso” over the death of their mother, Mrs Grace Obimma who died at age 88. Speaking during a funeral mass celebrated in honour of the deceased at St. Williams Catholic Church, Nkwelle-Ezunaka, Oyi Local Government Area, Governor Soludo recalled the level of insecurity in the state when he assumed office where eight local government areas were at the mercy of criminal non-state actors and expressed satisfaction that his government has reclaimed the areas.

* Ogbunka community in Orumba South Local Government Area stood still recently as they converged on Umunnebo village to pay their last respects to the traditional prime minister of the community, Late Chief Engineer  Mathew Ejindunaka Ezeabikwa. Late Chief Ezeabikwa retired as a lecturer at Federal College Of Education, Technical, Umunze and contributed to the growth, development and peace of his community. He died at the age of 72. The traditional ruler of the community, Igwe Johnmark Anyaoha in company of some traditional rulers in Anambra South led by their Chairman, Igwe Clifford Okeke of Nawfija received the body of Chief Ezeabiakwa at Nka Palace, Ogbunka where they a brief commendation service was held before the deceased began the journey to the town hall and his eternal abode.
