* Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, CFR has warmly congratulated the former Commonwealth Secretary General Chief Emeka Anyaoku, GCVO, CFR, CON (Adazie Obosi),  who clocked ninety (90) years of age today, January 18, 2023. In his congratulatory message made available to ANN, Soludo described Anyaoku as an astute and experienced diplomat who has demonstrated immense capacity to duty with outstanding achievements worthy of commendation.

* Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs Chiamaka Nnake has Called on Ndi Anambra to start keying into various national social investment programmes mapped out by the federal government. Mrs Nnake assured that the state government will continue to enhance its support towards ensuring that the state is more livable and prosperous.

* The senatorial candidate of the Labour Party( LP) for Anambra Central, Senator Victor Umeh, said he has no regrets in contributing his quota for the emergence of Governor Charles Soludo. The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) said he had forgiven Soludo for removing his campaign billboards in Awka.

* Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Youth Development has taken  sensitization on youth empowerment of ‘One Youth two Skills’ to Anambra South Senatorial Zone. The programme which was tagged  ‘Closing the Gap Initiative CGI”, was targeted at building synergy among stakeholders in the society which includes the local government authorities, the traditional rulers, town union Presidents General, Youth and Women Leaders, voluntary organisations amongst other

* The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development in collaboration with Anambra State Government, have flagged off the Federal Government cash grant to vulnerable groups in Anambra State and other National Social Investment Programme. The flag off which took place at the Professor Dora Akunyili Women’s Development Centre in Awka, featured the roll out of the Government Enterprise Empowerment Programme, to beneficiaries of Marketmoni and Tradermoni as well as the launch of National Home Grown School Feeding Programme and Farm to Kitchen Centre.

* The candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) for Oyi/Ayamelum Federal Constituency in 2023 elections, Dr. Amaechi Nwachukwu felicitates with the Traditional Ruler of Umunya community, HRM Igwe Sir Dr. Kris Chinedu Onyekwuluje (DMA, KSC, Eze Nya 1 of Umunya) as he marks his 62nd birthday today. Nwachukwu in his congratulatory message prayed God to keep sustaining the monarch with good health, sound mind and longevity as he celebrates.

* The Vice President of Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide Chief Demian Okeke Ogene has called on Southeast Governors to support efforts of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to restore stability in the zone. Speaking in Awka, Chief Okeke Ogene noted that collective efforts of the Governors would help tackle the challenges confronting the area.

* The National Patron and member Board of Trustees, Anambra Demand for Soludo, Chief Henry Igboeli said that Governor Soludo has continued to demonstrate purposeful leadership that prioritised the welfare of the people and collective interest of Ndigbo. Chief Igboeli expressed confidence that the release of Nnamdi Kanu would end the wave of insecurity in the Southeast and provide a strong basis for dialogue to provide permanent solutions to agitations. He said that the call should be supported and re echoed by other political leaders and stakeholders in Igboland to achieve the set goals.

 

* The Anambra State Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Patrick Agha Mba has reminded youths in the state to actualize their destiny through voting credible candidates during the 2023 general elections. According to Mba, since the youths constitute sixty percent of the population of the nation, they have the power to advocate for the right candidates and transform the future of the country.

* Governor of Anambra State Professor Chukwuma Soludo has assured commercial drivers in the state that the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) is a party for the common man and his administration will protect and promote the intreast of the people. Governor Soludo while speaking with the operational transporters in a town hall meeting today at the Dora Akunyeli Women Development Center Awka, promised to end multiple taxation in the transport sector.
