* Former governor of Anambra State Senator Chris Ngige, has vowed that the All Progressives Congress will sack the Prof. Chukwuma Soludo l in 2025. Speaking from his residence in Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area, Ngige assured journalists that internal divisions within the APC would not hinder their victory. He affirmed that efforts would be made to reconcile conflicting factions before the crucial 2025 gubernatorial contest.

* The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, has been conferred with the prestigious Chieftaincy title of Ifesimba na Umuomaku by HRM, Igwe Obikaenyi Livinus O Ezenwa, the Igwe Nkataukwu Ohazurume of Umuomaku Ancient Kingdom, Onunaekwuruoha 2. This conferment took place in a grand ceremony, signifying the high regard and honor in which Barr. Ezeokenwa is held within Umuomaku Ancient Kingdom.

* History has been made at Flora Azikiwe Model Comprehensive Secondary School Neni, Anocha Local Government Area when perimeter fence built by Umuokpu Neni in diaspora was commissioned. The commissioning, which had the presence of illustrious sons and daughters of Neni, also attracted the state Commissioner for Education, Professor Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, Secretary, Post Primary School Service Commission, PPSSC, Mrs Benedict Anagor, among other dignitaries. The perimeter fencing, which was completed within three months, was attracted by the Neni Development Initiative Group.

* The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Barr. Ezeokenwa Sly has underlined the party’s commitment to ongoing progress, growth, and the attainment of new milestones. He reiterated that success within APGA is not a final destination but a continuous journey marked by advancement and new achievements. Ezeokenwa shared these views in Nawgu Dunukofia LGA when he was hosted by an APGA Stakeholder, Chief Tochukwu George Ibekie.

* Ojoto community in Idemili South Council Area of Anambra state rolled out their drums as the Traditional ruler, Igwe Gerald Mbamalu, performed his second ofala festival. The festival held at his palace was an annual event that helps in fostering unity among the eight villages of Ojoto community. In his speech, Igwe Mbamalu expressed gratitude to all contributing to the development of Ojoto community, pointing out that the task of community building remains everybody’s responsibility.

* Ukadike Kingdom Talent Foundation has held the 3rd edition of her annual talent empowerment show. The talent empowerment show which was for all government primary school pupils in the town took place at St Peter Primary School, Ubahu-Okija in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State.

* The mayor of Orumba South Local Government Area, Prince Neville Uchendu has effectively overseen peaceful town union elections in Isulo, Ogbunka, and Umuchukwu towns respectively. ANN reports that the elections were conducted according to each town’s constitution, adhering strictly to the principles of fair play and justice. In his address at the various communities in Orumba South where the town union elections were held, Prince Uchendu called for a peaceful and transparent process, emphasizing the importance of democratic values in community development which he described as one of the major aspects of Governor Soludo’s transformation agenda.

* The Rector of Federal Polytechnic Oko, Engr Francisca Nwafulugo has called on sons and daughters of Anambra State at home and in diaspora and other stakeholders to invest their wealth and resources in the spirit of think-home philosophy towards building and development of their State. She made the call during the 3rd edition of the Anambra Man Of The Year (AMTY) awards, an annual event that celebrates excellence, industry, courage, achievements and impacts of Anambra people in the state and country at large. The event was themed: “Gbakotanu Ka Anyi Dozie Obodo Dike (Come Together Let Us Develop The Land of the Great)” and was held in Awka, the state capital.

* The Traditional Ruler of Nawfia in Njikoka LGA, Anambra State, Igwe Chijioke Nwankwo has urged governor Chukwuma Soludo’s urgent intervention to quell the crisis allegedly being instigated at his community by Chinedu Nwoye (alias Glamour) and a certain Catholic Archbishop. Nwankwo, in a statement wondered why Nwoye who is Deputy Chief of Staff/Chief of Protocol to the governor and the unnamed Archbishop would be recognising Igwe Daniel Obelle as monarch.

* Governor Chukwuma Soludo has felicitate with the traditional ruler of Aguleri Kingdom, HRM Igwe Dr. Micheal Idigo on the occasion of his 2024 Ovalla festival and anniversary, rejoicing with the royal father, his family, and domain. Soludo extols the monarch for his dedication to the promotion of cultural values that recognize the dynamics of a changing world, largely driven by new technology, and his encouragement of citizens to explore opportunities in education, skill acquisition etc
