* The Anambra State Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA) Awka, Sir Joseph Uchendu has advised final year students of Ojukwu University, Igbariam, Uli Campuses and that of the College of Medince Amaku Awka to maximize every opportunity that come to them as they move into the society after their graduation. * Central School field Isuaniocha in Awka North LGA of Anambra state was filled to capacity with almost every indigenes of the community in attendance at a general meeting involving the elders, women, youths and stakeholders. ANN reports that it was the first time the entire people of Isuaniocha sat together to discuss, since 2018 when crises broke out leading to the destruction of property and death of some individuals.

* A primary one pupil, Sophia Chizaram Iheohakara, from Amamife Primary School, Awka has grabbed three awards of Overall best pupil, best in mathematics and the perfect GPA champion. She grabbed the awards in the 2023 Nduka Foundation zonal written quiz taken on 16th May for selected primary schools in the six educational zones and twenty-one Local Governments Educational Authority in Anambra State.

* An Onitsha business man, Chief Ernest Offia, has cried to the Inspector- General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbatokun, and Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State to restrain the activities of an alleged land speculator, Mr. Chimezie Onwuegbusi. Offia alleged that Onwuegbusi defied series of court orders to demolish a church situated in his property at Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State. Counsel to Chief Offia, Barr Humphrey Udechukwu, told newsmen in Onitsha that inspite of these Court orders, Onwuegbusi said to be a notorious land grabber on Monday, July 3, 2023 moved into the property with his thugs and pulled down the church.
* Anambra State Government has commenced a three-day second quarter training for all Accountants in the state civil service aimed at building their capacities to guarantee effective financial management. The programme, organized by the office of the Accountant General of the state, hold at the Dr. Jerome Udorji state Secretariat, Awka. While addressing the participants, Anambra State Accountant General, Dr. Chukwudi Okoli, charged them to always work with the laws governing accounting profession in their various ministries to achieve effective financial management.
* Popular resort centre in Oba Idemili-South Local Government Area of Anambra State called Rojenny Games Village, factories, houses and other economic buildings may become extinct if the Federal Government does not commence urgent remedial actions on the landslide that has cut off Oba axis of Onitsha-Owerri road gradually submerging the entire area.
The very drastic situation was brought to the fore when the Senator representing Anambra-Central senatorial district at the 10th National Assembly Chief Victor Umeh paid a working visit to the area in the company of Oba cabinet chiefs. The erosion site which is few metres away from Rojenny Games Village Oba, is becoming deeper and deeper threatening to submerge First Choice Plastic Industries Limited, houses and economic buildings in the area.
* Otu Umu Okpu of Anambra State, North Texas chapter, has distributed food items to orphanage homes in Anambra State. The items include tubers of yam, cartons of noodles, bags of rice, beans, corn among other edibles, were distributed to orphanage homes in Onitsha, Umuoji and Nnewi. Speaking in an interview, the President Mrs. Joy Agwuna said the organization made a promise to distribute food items to orphans, widows, and downtrodden in the society, adding that they are happy to have fulfilled the promise.
