* The Anambra State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engineer Ifeanyi Okoma has inspected the six-point-six kilometers Construction of Awkuzu-Umunya road project.
Speaking to the press at the Umunya end of the project, Okoma said that the road is in line with Governor Soludo’s vision of building a livable and prosperous megacity for Ndi Anambra.

* Anambra Commissioner of Police CP Aderemi Adeoye has warned the criminals in the state to change their ways and key into State Government Opportunities by engaging in legitimate means of survival or be prepared to face discomfort in their criminal/ illegal activities. Adeoye made the comment while speaking with newsmen at the command headquarters.

* Ndi Anambra have been urged to key into the vision of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to build a progressive and viable state. Speaking in Awka, the Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Mr Don Onyenji said the Governor is laying strong foundation for better and prosperous state.

* Police collaborating with Anambra State Vigilantes at Ichida bus stop along the Ichida- Igboukwu expressway, rescued a kidnap victim, neutralize two members of the notorious gang, recover One Ak47 rifle, two pump action gun, two Ak47 magazine, thirty- two live ammunition, one highlander jeep belonging to the victim.
Preliminary information reveals the deadly gang of Eight operating with two vehicles a Grey Highlander jeep and a white Lexus 350, abducted the victim in her Ash Highlander jeep. The victim was rescued unhurt and she has been debriefed.

* The traditional ruler of Umuoba Anam in Anambra East Local Government Area, Igwe George Ekwealor has appealed to Ndi Anambra to keep supporting the Anambra state government in its efforts to make the State livable, secured and prosperous homeland. Ekwealor who made the appeal while speaking in his palace at Umuoba Anam, commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his numerous developmental strides across the state and noted that the Governor needs to be supported to continue his good works in the state.

* Anambra State Government has commence reconciliation process to end leadership crisis at Nimo community in Njikoka Local Government Area of the State. ANN gathered that the community has been in crisis over the suspension of three elected executive of Nimo Town Development Union (NTDU), sales of ancestral land known as Ana-Owa land and other social challenges confronting the community.

* The Archbishop, Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop Diocese of Awka, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has encouraged youths to abide by the words of God and eschew all vices capable of tarnishing their future. Ibezim stated this in a sermon at the Cathedral Church of Saint Faith Awka during a service to mark the Girls Guild Sunday which has its theme “Esther’s Generation”.

* Sisters of The Society of The Holy Child Jesus Centre for Renewal has been blessed and opened in Nise, Anambra state. The building of this Center affords them the opportunity to impact their knowledge to the people, especially families and the youth.The Centre is set to welcome families bedeviled by marital crises; youths cowed by any form of abuse; people who desire to be heard and those searching for someone to listen to them.

* Executive Director, Operations, Anambra Internal Revenue Service,  Christian Madubuko has said the service is making a serious effort towards improving Anambra State Internally Generated Revenues (IGR), at least, to be at the same level with Lagos State, for the full realisation of Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s vision on creating a liveable and prosperous homeland for all. The executive director stated this while having a chat with the press in his office recently.

* Another Anambra student has distinguished himself in final examinations in far away Russia. The young man, from Okija in Ihiala LGA of Anambra State, Okeke Solomon Ekene emerged the best graduating student in a Russian University with a perfect 5.0 CGPA. He graduated from RUDN University Moscow, Russia.
Due to his exceptional  performance, the university also awarded him an honorary degree.

* Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Aderemi Adeoye says he has ordered the immediate removal of the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in charge of B Division Awka, following allegations of extortion against him by citizens of the state. Adeoye while speaking in a press briefing when he addressed journalists at the state Police Command Headquarters in Amawbia, Awka South Local Government Area,
explained that investigations are ongoing and if the DPO is eventually found guilty of the allegations, he will be made to face the law.

* Anambra State Internal Revenue Service, AIRS, has arrested seven suspected illegal revenue collectors and sealed off about five parks in Onitsha and environs for non-payment of taxes to the state government.
